What Consitutes a Rogue/Dodgy Casino For You?

    Hi All,

I posted in another thread that it's my view that MGS has dropped the ball in regards to the type of licensee's that are now operating MG casinos.

From day one MGS embraced an almost militant stance with vetoing licensee applications for their software. All manner of checks include background & financial worthiness were scrutinised.

Back in the days when MGS were taking accountability I would not hesitate in trusting any microgaming powered casino because frankly I knew the riff raff could not gain a MG licence.

However these days things have changed. There are a number of MG powered casinos that I wouldn't touch with a barge pole. Not to mention the Grand Prive` Group and what they did to their affiliates.

As the apparent trustworthiness of some MG casinos erode at this once highly regarded pinnacle of MGS standards, I ponder other software providers and their casino licensee's.

So I start to review my own opinions on what I believe is acceptable behaviour and what is either dodgy or downright roguish conduct.

First cab of the rank for me is timely payments. Being paid my winnings to a web wallet (Neteller) in 48 hours or less. A sub process of this being paid in full also ranks up there as a must have.

IMHO if a casino accepts unlimited amounts in deposits, then the casino should also pay the customer in full if he or she wins. Pulling this max payment stunt is at best dodgy at worst rogue like.

I also expect a casino to offer phone and email support 24/7. Email support is attended to in a timely manner. Having to wait more than 3 hours for a response is absurd IMO.

If at this point my chosen casino can fulfil my criteria then I'm likely to keep depositing. Although I have a long list of other secondary criteria I gauge a casinos worthiness on. But probably too long to list all of them here.

I'd be interested in knowing what other peeps here use to filter their casino selections on.

    Cheers
    T

My first criteria is on how fast they payout and how many hoops you have to jump through in order to receive that payout.
Second, would be how helpful the CSR is. Timely responses to emails and if there is a live chat function, the live help is curteous and informed.

I'd just about given up on playing at RTGs, the games seemed to be tight and payouts were too long in receiving. Most times the live chat help were rude and just didn't seem to care, IMO. I have to say Louise at Cherry Red is exceptional.

The only Rivals I still play at are Slotocash and Absolute (now Slot Power).

The only MG I can play at are Intertops and Royal Joker. Both have been playing very well for me at the moment. Both have fast payouts and their replies to emails are always returned in a timely manner.

Hope this is what you were looking for.

Well has to be for me zero withdraw limits, weekly monthly or otherwise. If I deposit and loose fine. If I deposit and win I want ALL my winnings withdrawn back to me within a very short space of time. Wire is 6 or 7 days max. CC is no more than 5 working days. Also very clear easy to read terms, so many must get sukkered in with the pull of a large deposit bonus only to find out later that its 40 or 50 x playthrough or it has a limit attatched to withdraws.
For some weekly wd limits can be fine but for me I vote with my wallet - i dont deposit anywhere where they have weekly withdraws. Not sure if this in itselfs is rogue for all but for me personally it is. Online playing is going down the tube im down to 2 casinos now. Time for a Land based visit I think

My confidence in any/all online gaming has been greatly eroded during the last year or so...

    White label MG casinos.

Casino Action going under -- MG knew something was wrong, pulled the license, but players were not warned and continued playing there, thinking the problem was 'minor'

The super user cheating fiascos at AP & UB -- where it was left to the players to investigate and reveal the crime (and it seems the criminals got off scott free)

Grand Prive group and their slow but obvious decent into what I consider the business equivalent of paranoid schizophrenia. (But they still hold and run a stable of MG licensed casinos.)

I still have a problem with the casino audits... who does it these days? Is MG still done by eCogra? There is serious need for this to come from elsewhere.

Unfortunately, there is more to be added, but I've not had my coffee and my list depresses me.

Trezz, your items are (in my way of thinking) on target for a good casino. But sadly, many are slipping. It seems players are still often viewed as a necessary evil rather than customers/patrons.
Alice: But I don't want to go among mad people.
The Cat: Oh, you can't help that. We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.

Hiya: For me, i do not care how they want to approve/verify who i am, or what the graphics look like, or any other non gambling stuff.

I want to know, "EXACTLY", What methods i can use to deposit, and what methods i can use to withdraw, based on how the deposit was made. I want to know this, upfront before even playing at all. I also want to know Apx. what the time frame is for each type of withdraw request.

If I get a FREE Bonus, birthday, vip, and so on, i want to know, "EXACTLY", what strings are attached. ie, max cashout, and so on.

The smaller the window on table limits, the less likely I am to play, as this give the Casino a much bigger advantage over the player.

I believe that eCogra still does the MG audits. Which in IMHO is just WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!!
    (meaning - it's wrong...as a HUGE conflict of interest).

I like to know who I am playing with. I much prefer big UK facing companies like Lads, 32Red, Bet365, Betfred, Coral, VC and The Tote etc.

I have never liked these groups that have about twelve casinos in each group. They seem to be trying to project themselves as being much bigger than they infact are, which is never a good sign.

Most important for me is timely payouts. If you are a regular and doc verified why should anyone have to wait 21 days for a cashout. If its longer then 3 days im gone casino is deleted.
Next for me is the emails that get you to come back to them. Last one i got was havent seen you in months here is a match bonus. Downloaded casino sure enough on opening mg page in casino lobby click here for match. Nothing later support tells me casino can change their terms when they feel they need to.
Another one gone in the dumps.
Other is how much id do they need i had a group of casinos last year that went as far as wanting a photo copy of my bank statement. I provided with blocked out account numbers. Response was unblock all numbers also need transit numbers. And go back 2 months till now when u forward back. These casinos are on the accredited list and already had my invoice of my visa card with numbers and all so why bank statement. Played the money back and deleted, asked over and over to close off account till this day still email me.
Next is when u open your first account now seems live chat pops up asking some questions that fine. But a few times i have gotten these chats while im playing asking me to make a larger deposit. Hell im still working on this one leave me alone.
customer service i know customers can be real jerks but if you took the job then handle it with tact unless the customer gets out of hand then close chat off.
