Affilates, How much can you make?

Hiya: I am requesting some information, in general. If a current Internet Gambling Player, decided to become an Affilate, How much $ can they expect to make doing this?

What can you expect to make the first few months, when just starting out?
What can you expect to make later on, when have the hang of it, and actually know what you are doing?

I am NOT asking what any of YOU make, but based on your expierience, what could a brand new affilate make.

If you are New, and not making at least, $xxx, each month, you are doing something wrong. Or, if you make more than $xxx, each month, you are exceeding what is normal. And then the same Income ranges a year later. You should make a min of $xxx, and proabely a max of $xxxx.

The estimates should exclude getting lucky, and getting a Whale as one of your players. Any information posted will be usefull, again without having to use your own income, as i know most people tend to keep their income from any job Top Secret. Thanks,

While not an affiliate myself, I do know that your question is very hard to answer, as there are so many variables.

What kind of a site are you going to build? How many hours a day are you going to put into it? How much do you know about SEO, and getting your site up there in the rankings? What kind of content are you going to offer ie. just a banner farm, or a site with some actual information? What market are you going to target...geographically, type of player, etc? Are you interested in promoting casinos or casinos and poker? Which casinos are you going to promote ie. any old casino or just the good ones?

Those are just for starters. I can tell you don't expect to make any kind of serious money the first few months. Just getting your site into the rankings is a job unto itself. And without search engine hits, how else are you going to draw people there? Also, to build a "good" site takes time, and it's not free.

These are all things to consider.

Took me almost a year to make any money, and another year of pumping everything I made back into the site. This is working more than full time on it. Year three I made myself a salary for working 12/7. After 8 years I support several families. I still work 7 days a week.

If you start slower and spend more time on SEO than I did initially, you will start making some $ sooner and grow slower.

It's a commitment, like any business. If you just want to make a little on the side, it's not that hard to do if you find a good niche. Players make the best affiliates because we understand other players. Just think of what it is that you want to see on aff sites and don't now. And start with that.

Don't be discouraged by the huge competition, when I started I was told that I could never make it because there was too much competition. Now most of the affiliates that were big then are gone and newer ones have taken their place.

The web and the gambling industry changes day to day. It takes a lot of time to just keep on top of everything. If you fail to update constantly, your visitors will go to outdated bonus offers or even defunct casinos or casinos gone rogue. Nothing is static here. The more information you offer, the more time it takes just to keep it up to date.

So, to start out, I would suggest a small, very targeted site that talks about something you as player really care about. Concentrate on that and see how you like the work. Then you can decide how much effort you want to put in and at what pace you want to grow... Just keep in mind that you want to be useful, you want to provide something unique, and it needs to be something you care about. If you care about it, other players do too.
