To Casino Reps, Moving Overseas ?

Hiya: Later this year I will be moving overseas to the Philippines. This would also apply to anyone moving to a different country.

Do I/we need to open a brand new account at, "insert casino name here", or do we just keep the same acct. and edit the mailing information, home address, phone #, ect?

What procedure is required?

And, Is the URL checked when logging in? I ask this, because i will be traveling around, Guam as example, and is it OK to log in from another country and Play?

Please respond with any info, and more impotrtantly, any restrictions that, "If you do so an so, we will bann your sorry arse". Thanks.

You're probably going to have to do that on a case-by-case basis, but most likely you will just change your address info and not open a new account.

However, if you are going to be in the Philippines, some casinos will no longer allow you to play - ie. Playtech - but as you are US-based nothing changes there. You will probably be able to play other casinos like Microgaming though.

Do not open new accounts...you can be banned. I would e-mail each casino's support and tell them your situation, and ask for the proper procedure. You will have a record that way. Sometimes you retain residency in your home country while working or visiting out of country. But you may wish to open local banking and have your mail at another address if you are there for extended periods. You would hate to have a great win and for a casino to have an excuse to deny your winnings.

As you travel, you can always contact support along the way to make sure that things are running smoothly...eg.

Hi. It's winsalot. I'm visiting Guam this week, but my residence is still 203 Hopeful Lane. Are there any problems with playing my account from here?

Automated systems are the biggest problem. They may interpret a login from a completely different country as an indication that your account has been "hacked", and lock it down. They may well NOT accept you contacting you after the fact from the new country, thinking you might be the hacker, but might insist you verify by logging in, or clicking through, from your "normal" country. They are likely to use Geo Location of IP address to determine (roughly) where you are.

MOST casinos will want updated details, and NOT a new account. They will see a new account, once they have "linked" it to you at your old address, as an attempt at "double dipping" the SUB at a minimum, or worse, that you have embarked on a fraud of some kind.

I once had my Neteller account locked for logging in 60 MILES away, in the next COUNTY of England, at my Mum's house. I had to phone them to unlock it, and had to give them my verifiable details to prove it was me.

I have not experienced problems logging into casinos from my Mum's house though, but since it is the same country, they probably just see it as me using 2 computers. It is not uncommon nowdays for households to have more than one PC.

Always edit your active account, it's not worth the risk of winning under new details then having a Casino find you linked to other accounts and kicking off a big investigation.

LOL... that's pretty rough if you're in the same country... but on the other hand, just think if someone had indeed managed to obtain your login details...
