    Dumb MG game question

I hope this isn't a stupid question. Every time I ask something the answer was right under my nose. I have been seeing some great screenies of the MG Fruit(?) machines. I mean the ones like Treasure Island etc.

How in the world do you play them. When I go to help all I see is the payout. How does the nudge, and hold feature work? What should you hold etc. Any help would be greatly apprcieated.

its all in help, lots of reading

The Nudge feature is random and enables you to bump a reel to display the next symbol.

You can win up to four reel nudges per spin.

    When you win nudges:

    1. The number of nudges awarded to you highlights, and the Nudge buttons activate.

    2. The Sneak Peak Arrows above the reels highlight. Click the Sneak Peak Arrows to view the next two symbols on the reels. This helps you create winning symbol combinations.

    3. Click the Nudge buttons to bump the reels. Depending on the number of nudges held, and the reel combination displaying, you can create winning symbol combinations.

The Hold feature is random and holds the position of one or more reels for the next spin.

When the Hold feature activates, the Hold buttons display below each reel.

    To hold your reels:

    1. Click the Hold buttons to select the reel positions you want to hold. You can hold up to three reels.

    2. Click the Spin button. Only the reels not held spin. Any winning combinations are paid out according to the Regular Payout Schedule.
    etc
    Who took my money ??

Sounds too much like work to me, lol. When I spin a slot, I want it to do all the work.

Keep in mind that when you have the option to hold any of the reels, only do so if there are symbols present that will advance you to the bonus rounds.

For instance, if you have any of the soccer balls visible in Game On!, hold those reels, and for Treasure Ireland, be sure to hold the reels that have a map visible.

The same goes for nudges. Most of the time you can bypass nudging any reels at all, as they won't complete a winning combination or advance you to the bonus round.

Always remember that the main goal for any of the fruities is to reach the bonus round. Very rarely will you win any substantial amount from a line win, so don't bother holding 2 reels to a winning combination, as you'll rarely hit the 3rd one....I think the only way I'd hold 2 reels is if they had a jackpot symbol on each of them.
Operators: If you don't know what Transparency means, then here you go.....now how about practicing it?

Transparency, as used in the humanities and in a social context more generally, implies openness, communication, and accountability. It is a metaphorical extension of the meaning a "transparent" object is one that can be seen through. ...

    Like I said.....work.

Christ, I'd have to get pen and paper out and take notes, and refer to them before I made a move. I'd have to have a copy of the paytable handy too. I'm glad to see that some enjoy them....but honestly, I just want mindless entertainment with the least amount of effort possible.

Like Winbig said, these features are mainly just to keep the suspense up, it's the main bonus round you want to be aiming for. These slots will be copied from 'Pub Slots' or 'Fruit Machines' as we call them in the UK - good fun after a few jars

Also bear in mind that these work like traditional fruit machines. Every time you take a win it's going to take some out of the pot. Thus by refusing wins the slot is going to pay further. In theory anyway. Even if it is only those stupid 1x and 2x bets. They all add up and will deplete the pot further, although your balance is not going to notice the difference.

The trick is to not play these like slot machines. As they aren't. A bonus round isn't going to come after x spins, and don't expect a 1000x line win. Hell, I don't think they even go that high!

I'm not sure of the actual payout % of these, would presume it's in the mid to high 70s. But as Vinyl shows, play these at the right time and the payouts can be far higher than slots.
Still waiting for those five rams

Thanks this is the kind of help I really needed. I am not familiar with fruit machines. Even after reading help I was lost. Glad you and Win are in the know on this.
