Got a good story to tell you all.
On Friday I had a really rough day at work, the kind where everything goes wrong from when you start your day- well any way after work I decided to go the the local casino ( Lasseters casino, they used to be online until recently) I decided to play a one cent machine called dolphins treasure by Aristocrat, I only took $60 with me and was planning on betting 40c per spin.
I got down to my last $10 bucks and hit the feature and then the feature innthe feature to basically win my money back. I then decided to try another machine as the casino just recently put heaps of new slots in, I put my $60 in there and was betting 50c a spin on a machine that is similar to 50 lions ( another aristocrat machine) and within the 4th spin I hit the feature for 15 spins, I have never played this machine so I didnt know what was the wild symbols and what the top pay was so I just sat there and watched, WELL the last spin I got all the willds in the middle which were bubbles and lall ladies on the first and last reel, the coins started flashing on the screen when you hit a big win and by the end of it ended up with $170.

I then tried a few over slots and boy were they eating my money- still only betting 40cents a spin on different slots. I eventually lost most of it and was down to my last $70 bucks- I thought what the hell spend it and go home so a 5cent machine caught my eye which was called MAJOR MILLIONS once again another Aristocrat slot im pretty sure and I pushed the minimum bet by all lines which was $1 per spin, I did about 6 spins and hit the feature and then looked at my balance etc before I started the free spins and noticed I only has $13 dollars left?????? Why have I only got $13 after six pins I thought and then I seen why I was betting $10 per spin!!!!!!!!!!! I didnt hit the minimum properly or something but boy was I happy, well 3 spins into the feature I hit the mini jackpot as the symbols lined up which payed $260 and then a few 2 and 4 in a row symbols to eventually get $700 WOOOHOOO.

Having some dutch courage I looked over at the BJ tables and saw my good asian friends who are decent players, you guy's know the ones- they dont hit on a dealers 6 etc, they will bust there hand when they know a high card is coming so the other table wins etc, you get a lot of people here who like to split tens ( never split a winning hand) always keep hitting till they get close to 21 even though a dealer has a 6,5 or 4 for first card so you know they have to draw tw cards.
Anyway's I started at $25 per hand with $5 in the perfect pairs, I was playing two boxes and was doing oko so decided to up my bet to $50 per hand in each box- the second hand into betting $50 I got a BJ for the first hand and then perfect pairs for the second-I got two eight of diamonds againist a dealers 7, I split the 8's and the first hand a 3came out doubled that and hit 20, the seond hand another 8 came ouot so I again split them and the first card was a two so I had ten- doubled down and hit the ace for 21, the last hand I got a ace so that was soft 19 and I was going to double that but decided not to as I already had a heap out layed, so then the dealer draws a card and whatt do you know the 10 pops out and the dealer got 17, so i picked up a great win on that one alslo.

I then started to hit the piss and got drunk pretty quick as I hadnt eated to much that day and decided to call it a night...

Walked out with $1740 offf a $60 outlay.... good times people good times

Great win buddy. On BJ, it's one of the reasons I dont like playing with other people. You get cursed when you hit on 12 or 13 against a deler's 6 irrespective on whether there have been many face cards in previous hands. It's worse if you sit in the last seat. That's why I like playing paigow tiles more.

Wow, that's a nice run, congrats.

But the perfect pairs bet is a pretty bad side bet in BJ. 5% house edge in a six deck game, and truly abysmal house edge if you play it in a two deck game.

Hiya: Great story, thanks for sharing. The BJ table and description of how different players play the game, good vs bad, is why i always only play if i am the only one at the table. And Yea, nothing makes up for a bad day like winning money.

Sometimes I think it's more fun when you don't know the pay symbols. Suddenly you hit something and you have to figure it out and you see it's one of the top paying symbols! I love that!

I also love the Aristocrat machines that have the coins coming at you when you hit something big. You brought back some nice memories for me.

BTW...one time I hit max bet on a nickel machine by mistake, something with an Alladins lamp you rub, and I hit the bonus. I think max bet was $2.25. Not alot but still it was nice to hit the feature when I screwed up! I think I won $250.
