Hiya. I called western union here in Vegas. They will hold funs for 30 days, and then retun them to sender if no arrangements have been made to pick it up. Also, the sender may have them sent back at their request any time they want to. Also, in case some did not know, You only need to know the area of the western union, city/state or province, as example to send it, and the reciever may pick up the funds at ANY western union office.

While the above is technically correct, you need to consider that casinos need to find creative ways around the fact that WU doesn't do business with them directly. You'll know what I mean if you've used WU in connection with a casino.
As a result, returned funds can not always be collected again by the casino. It all depends on how they were sent (don't want to go into more detail on a public forum), but generally such returned funds are kept within WU.

BTW, if you talk to WU, don't mention gaming, your name may end up on a blacklist with them..

Interesting alfred and now i understand also why an Agent from the WU head office Frankfurt here in Germany told to the girlfriend that it cannot be standing in regarding with a Casino.

Before the girlfriend informed me she tried to check the status on the page but with no results.
Then she phoned to the head office and said she wait for money from a casino (a big mistake) because she did not know that a WU office also in her city is.

Now she will go tomorrow to the office and i recommended her not to mention gambling or a casino.

But the problem will be that it is now 42 days ago.

Maybe she has luck and it is still within WU.

thank you for your appreciate answers

If she isn't lucky and WU can't help her, she may want to explain the situation to the casino.
Assuming she is a regular customer at the place in question, the casino manager there might realize it may be better to send those lost funds again (costing the casino twice) than losing a loyal customer over it ..

Today i spoke with an agent and he told me that the casino offers this as an deposit and withdrawal method but not posted on their page yet.

He said also that the funds not will come back to the casino.

I think that i will experience more on tomorrow evening if she was in the WU office.

    update

She was now in the WU office and was told that the amount and the MTCN number is canceled.

The sender must activate this one for new, so the casino must cause that now.

What a joke and now it's time to name the casino and the sender and i think you will be not suprised.

I told you that the transaction was canceled.

The money came from Cirrus and the Sender was Valeria Barbosa Murillo (Costa Rica).

    Amount is $375 ($400-25 fee)

The member had emailed the casino that they must cause to the sender to activate it new.

She was not informed that the w/d will send it through WU and the cashier has also not worked to view any of transactions and she knows it firstly on Chat if it was too late.

Now here is the answer from withdrawal department:

    Dear Cirrus Member,

    This is Brad with Cirrus.

I'm sorry to say that the funds are now lost for you and for us. After 30
calendar days if the funds are not picked up by you they are lost. We will
not be able to send those to you again since we already did and there is
no way for us to get the money back from western union...

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    no way ? it's unbelievable

the customer replied with a little comment and asked whether they or their partners are working together with, want to steal money from their customers ?

here is now the second answer with a more bigger joke

    Dear Cirrus Member,

    This is Brad with Cirrus.

I'm sorry but the funds were sent to you 2 months ago and there is nothing that we can do ma'am. You know we pay because we have paid you almost $3,000 and you have only deposited $360.. No one is stealing anything from you it is just that the funds are lost we sent the funds to you and you did not pick them up and there is no way to for us to claim the funds we lost them and so did you I'm sorry. If you choose to go and say that we did not pay you that would be a lie and that is your chioce. But you know and we have prove that we have paid you almost $3,000 dollars. If you lie and say that we steal from you then we will have no choice but to close your account...

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

what has it to do with the $3.000 ?

$2.800 (she had won) (-fees) was only $2.600 (2x $1.300 via cheque)

what is your opinion ? is the money lost ?

anywhere the money must be (maybe at the sender ?)

do you believe that one can say that the money really is stolen, because there is no address from the sender ?

Now I've heard it all. First of all you stated the WU was canceled. Only the casino could of done that. Second of all from how I understood it Cirrus is a rogue casino.

    This comment here:
we have paid you almost $3,000 and you have only deposited $360
have no relevance to why she was not paid its just an lame excuse to not pay her.

I just hope she gets her money, but its going to be tough..
Give a fool his space....don't want to get caught up in their drama

Hiya: Following up on my call to western union. There is NO WAY a Wire Transfer can be LOST. Either the Casino has it, or the western union has it. If it really was Lost, do you not think that the Casino would be asking Wester Union, "Where the hell is the money we sent you?" The Casino would have a transaction recorded showing they sent it.

If the Western Union said, "We did not get anything", then someone is just lying. If the western union said, "We got it, and it was not claimed within 30 days, so we sent it back to you, the Casino" Likewise, the western union would have a record of that transaction.

When money is sent Western Union, Somebody has to SIGN to send it, The western union has to Sign that it was sent. The reciever has to Sign that they got it.

There is NO difference between this, and YOU depositing into Neteller from your bank account, and both your Bank, and Neteller say, "Neither one of us has your money", but it is not in your bank acct. any more.

Today i tried to experience some from WU but what they only said was that the money will remain 45 days at WU and after this time, WU cancel this transaction.

Then the sender will get an email from WU where they will inform that the receiver has not picked up the money in this time and asking further what should be happen with this money.

Back to the account where the money came from or whatever else.

As receiver you have no chance to contact the sender if you don't know who they are.

If the sender will now do nothing, then your money is lost.

The sender must notice that they must activate it for new or another must tell them.

After the 45 days WU have also no chance to track the transaction more.

The only chance you have is to contact a Wu office or Airpak office in San Jose to experience or can contact the sender.

    Otherwise the money is lost.

Very complicated and we will not experience whether the money really was sent or maybe not.

And also not much help from WU.
