Question Aladdins Gold: no more sign up bonus

I was looking for the wagering requirements for the sign-up bonuses on Aladdin's Gold, and couldn't find them. I hopped into the customer service chat, and had this discussion (operator's name deleted):

Chat InformationPlease wait for a site operator to respond.

Chat InformationYou are now chatting with '[Operator]'

    [Operator]: hi there

    [Operator]: how are you today?

Travis: Hello. Doing great. I'm trying to locate the wagering requirements and the terms for the deposit bonuses (codes ALADDINS150, ALADDINS75, and ALADDINS50), but I'm not finding them on the site. Can you point me to them?

[Operator]: Travis, could you please tell me which casino are you going to register please?

    Travis: Aladdin's Gold.

[Operator]: yes, just give a sec please

    Travis: thanks

[Operator]: http://www.aladdinsgoldcasino.com/Sp...x#DepositBonus , here is the linke for our welcome offer

[Operator]: and this is the link for all the terms and conditions, http://promotions.aladdinsgoldcasino...rms.aspx?ID=16

[Operator]: just reminding you need redeem the coupon before you make a deposit

Travis: Excellent, thanks. Second question: I was a player at Club USA back in July 2006. Will that affect my bonus eligibility at Aladdin's Gold?

    [Operator]: there are different casinos, but for Aladdins casino, we are not offer sign up free bonus at the moment {emphasis added}

Travis: So because I was a player at Club USA, I'm not eligible for the new player bonus at Aladdin's, correct? I'm OK with this, just wanted to be sure.

[Operator]: not like this, we are not offer any sign up bonus in Aladdins casino at the moment

Travis: OK, thanks. Have a great day!

[Operator]: they are different casinos, no any relationship

    [Operator]: welcome!
I guess that explains why the bonus offers on the front page don't link to any terms.

    This is odd

First the chat operator gave you the links, but then completely changed tack and said there were no sign up bonuses. Although it seemed this abrupt change had something to do with you mentioning you played at Club USA back in 2006, the operator denied this was the reason for the about turn on bonuses.

There are a couple of clues that this operator does not have English as a first language, yet Club World offices are in ENGLAND

Both casinos ARE run by Club World, and I am not at all sure why they launched Aladdins casino in the first place, as they already have three, one for US Dollars, one for Euros, and one for UK Pounds.

I have just visited the site (through Casinomeister Casinos - they are accredited).

    1) They ARE connected - Aladdin's Gold is a sister casino of Club USA.

    2) The website DOES advertise a welcome bonus, headlined at $900, and those codes DO still exist, and by clicking on "more information" you can find the terms and conditions.

Don't click on the download link, but click on the promotions tab at the top. This will display the details for the welcome offers, and lists the codes and a summary, with a "more information" link to the detailed terms for each bonus code.

As far as I can see, the welcome bonuses are current, and this "operator" either does not know what he is talking about, or has totally misunderstood what is being asked of him. It is possible that he has moved on to "Free Chips", rather than the welcome bonus that YOU were still talking about, and has fired off a completely unconnected answer to you in saying "we are not offer sign up free bonus at the moment ". This is not the first time a support agent has done this to a player, and the fact that English does not seem to be his first language may have contributed to an escalating misunderstanding. The site itself does not mention any "no deposit free chip" offer for a new player, these are sometimes offered to existing players though.

Before downloading, you can contact the casino rep for Club World (and also Aladdin's Gold) and clarify all of this.

    Just to clear this up:

I just spoke to the main man to ask him and he in turn spoke to support o find out why this was stated. The signup bonus is still active for Aladdin (and always will be) but the girl Travis spoke to is new and was confusing the signup bonus with a no-deposit bonus, the latter not being an option. He offers an apology for the confusion.

The wagering requirements are published here.

It seems to be another case of the common confusion between a no-deposit bonus, and a more usual percentage deposit bonus. Perhaps when new staff come in, they have little idea about how the industry works, having applied for a position in "customer support". Perhaps new staff should be given a tutorial from a player's viewpoint, as well as the normal training. CS staff should also have a potted history, and a diagram or document of group structure, so that they do not make confusing remarks about a sister casino "not being related". These are the kinds of innocent mistakes that can be interpreted in a more sinister way by a player who already "smells a rat" because of previous odd or inconsistent contacts with CS, or issues with the websites or casino software (the latter usually being of the "it's rigged" variety).

Or, they could just hire players for their support team....no confusion then

Transparency, as used in the humanities and in a social context more generally, implies openness, communication, and accountability. It is a metaphorical extension of the meaning a "transparent" object is one that can be seen through. ...

I am not happy with this casino, the first signup bonuses are 30x and a max of 2k, I asked for the bonuses to be removed, I was told even if they were any other bonuses that were being offered had the same w/r and cashout limit, I believe for the first 3 deposits, playing at CW for sometime now and them being attached you would think they would give a little movement, not a chance so i requested my account be closed.

    Thumbs up

Wow - thanks to all, especially Simmo for going to the source to get an answer. It does indeed seem to be confusion on the part of the operator between deposit bonuses and "free" bonuses. Much appreciated.
