If lets say the payout is 94% for the slot including the random Jackpot. Then it means it would be 92.5% without the jackpot.

So if you never count on NEVER winning the jackpot, you are playing a 92.5% slot.

The analogy I like to make is with 9/6 Jacks or Better video poker. There the expected payout is around 97,5% if you do not count on hitting the royal flush. The Royal adds the remaining two percent to the payout to make it 99,5%.
