Question VPL Group Casinos WTF ??....

Vegas Partner Lounge just sent me this coupon and a CD disk through snail mail from San Jose, CA (received it today) and it is a bonus coupon for $15.00 Extra Credits when I open up a new real account at any of their casinos where I have not yet played.

Now my question is WHY ?? Why are they still and deliberately marketing to US citizens when supposedly after Dec. 1st Microgaming and all of the MG Casinos said that they were not taking any New Players from the USA ??

So are they or aren't they accepting New Signup's from the USA ?

Will any of these MG Casinos actually step forward and make this perfectly clear for all of us here in the states or are the different casino groups all looking at this in different ways as far as new signup's go ?

RobWin, have you tried following their advise and created an account at any of their casinos you haven't played yet?
Just wondering if they would appreciate your "new" custom or would turn your account down, when "realizing" they sent this to a US address ..

I got that mailing too. Maybe the no new US rule is enforced casino group-wide (rather than by individual casino)? It would be nice to get some clarification, although in this case I believe I've already signed up at all the VPL casinos.

I have a feeling that some MGS groups are using this as a means to circumvent the MGS imposed ban on new registrations. A previous thread about a Red Flush CD included the description of a "pre-registered account". MGS WILL allow an EXISTING account to be used, but will NOT allow the creation of a new one.

I suspect that by having a pre-registered account number, the MGS systems are tricked into allowing a NEW US player to register. This could have SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES for the casino groups, as this could well be considered a breach of their agreement with MGS - circumventing an imposed ban on a country that MGS do not want to antagonise further after nearly losing it's main company domain through the Kentucky courts.

It would help if a US player tried to see if they could actually register a new account through one of the CD offers (it should NOT work, but if it does, it proves a loophole is being exploited by CASINOS - they deal with this kind of thing very harshly indeed when it comes from the PLAYERS end), volunteers should ensure they are not in breach of duplicate account rules, and I am NOT encouraging any depositing, as MGS may well quickly pick up on this and take action by locking these "pre-registered CD accounts" once they have found a way to identify them.
