Question Question For A RTG Casino Rep ??

I posted the above quote yesterday in the Slots Oasis Thread but I did not get the direct answer that I was hoping for so I pose this question here in hopes that an RTG Casino Rep will be willing to answer it as I am sure there are others here who would also like to know the answer to this question...

On the "Jackpot Piņatas" Progressive Jackpot which is currently over $1,022,388.00, will this Jackpot be paid out as a one time payment by RTG the same way that MG pays out their large progressive jackpots or will it be paid out by the individual casino in weekly installments over a number of years ?

    Hi Robwin,
We have never has a Jackpot that size hit as yet.
However it is my understanding that the funds would be paid directly through the central funding processor for these games.
I hope that this information is of some help.

Thanks INetBet, and if it was paid out in weekly installments then that sure would be a nice weekly income to have over a several year period...

    NOT!

I can't imagine getting paid over YEARS for something like this. What happens to the money if the casino banned Americans if they were the ones that won? Or went kaput, or just disappeared?

This weekly payout out thing is for the birds IMO..(Can you tell I have never had the privilege of having to have this option ) But the thought of all that money being tied up to a place I could never get to, is kind of scary.

These kinds of jackpots need to be paid in one lump sum just like the lottery choices we have here in the USA. Not piece mealed.

I would fly over there and collect my check if I was so lucky...

another ? would be say you won the RJ an can only withdraw 2k per week does the rest just sit in your account? Or do they remove it to somewhere?
Reason I am asking is I know some casino's if a withdraw is pending then it wont let you deposit it try's to force you to reverse your withdraw. An that isn't right at all

    Hi Guys,
We do not have weekly limits ourselves.
However, Robwin if you won and wanted it in weekly instalments I am sure it could be arranged.
All you have to do now IS win it

The games that have progressive jackpots are pooled together by the licensees - this is common for all gaming platforms (MGS, Playtech, RTG, etc.) so when someone hits a progressive, they are normally paid in one lump sum. It makes no difference for the casino since it is not coming directly from them.

That said, it is not too smart on a player to make a payment plan. Most players will play back a large amount of their winnings - and it's only then that the casino prospers. You play it back into the casino that didn't have to shell out 100% of this dough

One of the reasons why casinos LOVE progressive jackpot winners. It's good publicity, and they suddenly have a rich player

I'm back to being confused. I asked a casino rep in another thread if in fact RTG pays out the money for a Progressive Jackpot and they said the casino did.
But from this I am gathering it is in fact RTG who pays a Progressive Jackpot.
