Golden Palace - where were you?

A Macau casino mogul has paid £130,000 for an Italian white truffle weighing 2 pounds. [It seems the gaming industry is not suffering from the credit crunch.]

    OMG This is well spooky

Honestly - true story: I was out to Macau last month for CAC and went to dinner at an Italian restuarant (at the Wynn) with one of the casino owners accredited here. The restuarant asked me if I wanted truffle on my pizza and not knowing really what it was I said yes, as did a couple of the others with me. And the bill? For the truffle scraping alone: exactly £130 LOL.

    Macau - Italian restaurant - casino owner - truffle - £130 (000)!!

Now thats just plain weird - or a wildly distorted story!!

    It's Stanley Ho.
I don't think he did it wrong.
We think truffle is a valuable traditional Chinese medicine.
If I have so much money like him, I did the same.

Simmo forgot to mention that he licked every last trace of the truffle off his plate... I was there and I must admit I enjoyed the meal very much - thanks to the sponsor The truffle literally doubled the entire bill.

So Casino owners, affiliate managers and affiliates are dining out on truffles. Good to hear.

    What are players eating?

Ummm... I think that they were visiting a land based casino that was packed with players. Many I'm sure were dining in the same restaurant - eating the same food

They probably had comps as well.
