I'm kind a new at this as you will be able to tell from my question. Say I have 100 comp points, what does that equal in $ or cents or points?

Hi rockydyke
100 comp points usually equate to one credit ($1). But it varies from casino to casino (software to software).
Many casinos won't let you exchange points for cash unless you have at least 1000 points ($10).

ok thanks to bad,I thought it would have been more money. Oh well
Well the thing about comp points is that you get paid for your expected loss, not what actually lose.
At many MG casinos you get 1 comp point for every $10 you wager. You need 100 points to get $1 back.
So you would have to wager $1000 to get that $1 chip back.
If you low roll (doing many small bets) you can expect to lose $50 after wagering $1000 (5% house edge). If you get lucky and come out ahead after wagering you still get the comp points.
If you bet high and lose all your money ($1000) without any wins, you still get only $1 back.
In that case it's better to shop around for casinos that give you a %age of your actual losses back (cash back) or ND bonuses after bad runs.
