Bonus change at Rival casinos concerning videopoker/multi-videopoker.

Rival bonuses has generally always been very user friendly. When claiming a bonus you see a list of disallowed games. Until now multi-video poker and video-poker(implicit single line) has been two different categories. Many bonuses had often video-poker listed as disallowed, but somtimes they did not also list multi-video poker. So I have often cleared bonuses playing multi-video poker while video-poker(implicit single line) was disallowed. The software also did indeed count the multi-video poker as wagering and I never had a problem until now.

Some days ago I claimed another bonus where multi-video poker was not listed. As I played I noticed the wager did not count towards clearing the bonus (I asked live-chat). I managed to hit a few good hands (4 dueces, pat wild RF) and I then cleared the wagering on slots where I also was lucky. My 30$ deposit was turned into 580$ and I requested withdrawal.

I did receive my money but I also got a mail that I had been playing disallowed games and next time all 'winnings will be void'. The casino was SlotOCash (the only Rival I play at) and I am very pleased with the casino. They did pay even though I played disallowed games and they were kind to remind me not to do it again. We all know most other casino would not be so generous. (Of course I do still not think I did play any disallowed game since multi-video was not listed.)

I am not sure it is the same at other Rival casino, but I think it is. The software seems to handle both the bonus-text and the wagering requirements.

So it seems they have changed the wording of disallowed games and are now treating video-poker and multi-videopoker as one category. It is more clear this way ofcourse, but players should be aware of this. I have mailed them back and told them I think they should make this more clear since other players might get caught at this since the T&C has not changed reflecting this. They have not replied yet. But now you know this also.

    Headline should be 'Rival casinos'.

Congrats on your win there Zoozie and Kudos to SlotOCash for handling this the right way with the customer...I also had noticed this change there last week in the wording of the coupons !!

Something's missing Zoozie. Did it state in the cashier that cashout requirements were met. If so, it seems that they would need to look into this because if you had played disallowed games, in theory you would never be able to reach their WRs.

It also seems that they dont have a clue themselves because anyone in this field with a grain of knowledge can differentiate between multi(line) video poker and video poker. That said, MVP is of less variance than VP so it wouldnt make sense if they did not allow VP and allowed MVP to clear WRs.

Yes, Slototcash is good. I played disallowed games after meeting WRs but they sent me a nice email saying that I shouldnt have done so but processed my cashout anyway. Other Rivals, cant you learn from this!

I had actually asked one of the Rival casinos I play at about this because I was thing about playing VP after I had already met the wager requirements on the slot machines and they also told me that as long as the coupon was active I could not do this...I would have to cashout first and then reverse my balance in order to dump the coupon and then I could cashout again (whatever portion I wanted to) and there would be no coupon active then...

I cleared the remaining wagering on slots, but this was after I had increased my bankroll on multi-video poker initially..I was wondering why I had not cleared the wagering requirement and asked live-chat. From their information I concluded all the multi-video poker play did not count as wager anymore.

That's it! The cashier confirmed you had met WRs and so the cashout should be honoured. Actually, I dont think it would be difficult to disable disallowed games because they have reduced limits when playing with a coupon anyway.

BTW, missed reading your reviews. Any chance of a special X'Mas edition?

Even better, they could set maximum betting limit to 0$ on all disallowed games. The software seems to be capable of this. If they just added a wagering-meter
I would say the bonus system would be as good as Crypto (Intercasino etc.). It should not be possible for a player to make these mistakes (pit traps..)

ANY casino that would use this obscure technicality to void winnings deserves instant roguedom. Clearly, it is a software issue, and it should not be up to the players to worry about implementing a work around, but for the software company to fix. The coupon should be "dumped" sutomatically once WR have been met, players cannot be expected to understand all this while playing.
Fortunately, SlotOCash did NOT do anything other than pay up & tell players there were some problems.

Rival are the ones who implemented this change "on the quiet", and one must wonder was this a DELIBERATE attempt to trap players who read the list, see multi-VP not listed, and counting for WR, so that they can spring a "confiscation/ban ambush" on them if they have a particularly good session.
I expect there are numerous VP fans still completely unaware of this subtle change, and will walk right into the trap.
