So with that said, I guess all any of us can really do is just speculate as to what might or might not happen until we actually see it happening with our own eyes...

I imagine it's not just US officials who would find all these exchanges useful - by the look of things (and the lack of any signs of a cohesive approach) this would be a good place for the various MGS-powered groups and maybe even MGS itself to get an overview of WTF each group is planning to do LOL!

Just a thought, maybe Jetset has a view, but what is there to stop Microgaming launching a secondary business model where they provide re-branded (possibly even co-branded) games to other software companies? Could that not remove Microgaming's liability should that company then choose to sub-licence the games to casinos who take in the USA?

It's an interesting thought, especially this year when we have seen so many successful cross-platform partnerships between leading companies.

As to whether that would give an acceptable indirect entre to the US market....I don't know to be honest. I would guess you would have to have a lot of clear water between the market and the provider, off the top of my head.

But I imagine the idea would give uber-cautious lawyers kittens LOL!

I am not privy to Microgaming's inner workings and thoughts, of course, but my personal view is that when you are a leader in the industry, as they clearly are, you become a priority target.

That's perhaps illustrated by the unbalanced emphasis on MGS that those Chicago contingency lawyers gave in the Kentucky domains cases.

Becoming such a potentially lucrative and high profile target suggests to me that a company would have to be that much more careful of legal pitfalls - especially in a crazy, confused and inequitable legislative environment like that pertaining in the United States.

I'll bet their legal bills are horrendous....but essential. Unfortunately, corporate lawyers have a tendency to take the more conservative route, which can stifle entrepreneurial drives elsewhere in the organisation.

Grand Prive is closing it's affiliate program. Has anyone heard if they are closing their casinos too?

I just tried to play a tourney at one of those casinos and I was locked out, I have been playing for about 6 months and I use to play for money a couple of years back, I would beware US players who make deposits, it doesn't look good..

Oh dear! Doesn't sound good at all... While there is no love lost between GP and I, it's quite creepy when one of the top groups is showing signs of serious problems.

I no longer have any of the GP casinos installed so can't fire one up to see if it will let me in.

Exclamation YOU CAN PLAY BUT NOT PROGRESSIVES SO......

I uninstalled all Jackpot Factory Casinos. Makes no sense to block us from playing Progressive Games if you are accepting our deposits to play.

Also, couldn't play progressives on Vegas Joker flash not sure about the rest of mini-vegas casinos.

Why are they having trouble paying players via QT? That does not make sence.

I have just fired up Grand Bay, and from a non-US perspective, it is CLEARLY "business as usual", and they list a new promo, and it goes WAY PAST DEC 1st.

So as for affiliates who recruited non-US players getting screwed, this looks pretty much confirmed now. WE CAN play post Dec 1st, but any AFFILIATES who recruited us are NOT NOW GETTING PAID from their so called "life of the player" deals.

If they WERE closing next week, the lobby would either say so, or be full of old promotions, with nothing new listed post Dec 1st.
