Hi All

I posted bout this problem a few weeks back but still have mot managed to resovle it.

When playing the Ladbrokes instant casino, trying to play any game in the pub slots section results in an error message "casino sever error 6 " after the game has loaded. It only affects the games in that section and when in real player mode, all other games load ok.My comp is on Windows 98 (there is a reason for that) but I have tried it on a Windows ME comp as well with the same result. The problem did resolve itself for a few days last week but has returned.
I emailed Lads CS and worked through the check list they sent, but nothing helped.
I have no problem with a different MG instant casino.

Any more ideas appriciated

I frequently get the same error in the download casino using Windows XP. It therefore has nothing to do with Windows 98 being an old version. It affects all the MG casinos at some time or another, and ONLY affects games in the "Fruit Machine" category, and not any of the other slots or games. The error will persist for a few days and then clear, only to reappear again some time later, either at the same or a different casino.

What is most odd is the selective nature of the error, it shuts down ALL "Fruit Machines", or NONE of them, and it NEVER affects any of the other games in the casino. My conclusion is that "Fruit Machines" are not actually part of the main MG casino, but hosted on a separate, and less reliable, server - in the same way that the tournaments are.
Indeed the MG tournaments suffer a similar selective problem, being unavailable, yet with the rest of the casino working OK.
When connecting to the "Fruit Machines" for the first time in any MG casino, my firewall askes permission to connect to the server, yet this permission has ALREADY been granted for the main casino server, so it must be a different server being accessed.

The download casino "Fruit Machine" games do NOT work under Windows 98 at all, so there must be something rather unusual about them, as they seem no more complex graphically than the other games, which DO work under Windows 98 (just about;) ).

Thanks for that

At least I can stop trying to find a solution via my pc settings.
What I find a bit odd is that the last time I posted about the problem, several people tried to run the games on Ladbrokes and reported that they were getting no problem which if you discount the windows versions means that it
is down to geographical factors or in some way linked to my account.
Will just have to be patient and hope it fixes itself again, but I will be wary of
building up a large amout in any games if I am going to get frozen out for days again or if (I dont know if this can happen), the accumulated cash expires and the game state is reset to zero.

Microgaming have made it clear that games do not reset or expire if a player is unable to access it because of a technical error, no matter how long the error persists. If others can access a game, while some get the error 6, this shows that the error is not deliberate, but something that may be down to the routing through the internet. The puzzle is why these games, and the tournaments, are affected far more frequently, and more severely, than the normal casino games.
The ONLY time a game would expire would be upon it's removal, and to my knowledge, MG have only done this once.
