I have to disagree with you, imho, no-it's not pathetic.

It's on their promotions page, so it's probably existing players looking at it.
15 pounds for taking a decent number of spins on their Movie Mayhem game isn't a bad deal if you're already one of their slot players. It's not much incentive to switch from another casino as an acquisition tool, but it's okay as a little 'extra' for the regulars.

It would also depend on whether there are any wagering requirements on the bonus and if so what games are excluded. If this is fully cashable without WRs, this is an excellent promo as it amounts to a no-strings attached bonus which is equivalent to 2% of your wagers. In land-based casinos, I only get 0.7%-0.9% back.
