This is yet another reason why casinos should be offering reward programs that outshine deposit bonuses. If you give players an either or choice between bonuses and accelerated cash back based on wagering levels that winds up being better than a bonus, they'll take the cash back instead. Only the 'whores' will take bonuses at that point and they'll be easier to spot. Additionally, with a better cash back program, player loyalty will improve too.

It would have to be a very high cashback to be better than the monthly bonus, and then all the bonuswhores would take the cashback (cf Joyland fiasco).
