Now Moneybookers need to worry about any of their customers who end up having their Moneybookers accounts "hacked" and emptied.
There have been a number of claims made here that players have had their eWallet accounts hacked and emptied. In every case, the eWallet provider has taken the position that the victim must have compromised their login information, and thus it was their fault.
Here, we have direct evidence that there is practically NO "due dilligence" of a merchant UNTIL concerns are brought to their attention, at which point they may act after an "investigation". Meanwhile, the "horse" can be seen running off into the sunset as they struggle with the stable door
This makes it quite likely that a considerable proportion of these victims did nothing more than trust their eWallet provider when it comes to them deciding which merchants are going to be allowed to accept deposits through their services. Given that Moneybookers were actually promoting Angel, there have to be a number of players who have deposited via Moneybookers before all this came to light.
If any of them are reading this, do NOT wait for Moneybookers, change any account details formerly used with Angel to prevent them using the information to make further debits from the account. The password should be the quickest and easiest thing to change, however this would not be enough (certainly would not be with Neteller). One (at least) of the security items typed in, or stored, with the merchant also needs to be changed. With Neteller, this would be the 6 digit security code. Changing the eWallet registered Email address should also be done, although this is the hardest, as you have to ensure they match with the ones registered at the legitimate casinos.
Neteller was also accepted by Angel, but there was no promotion as far as I could see.
It seems they are not going to remove their site, so they must think there is still value there despite the expose here.
We just have to hope this thread finds it's way into the Google top 10, and stays there.
