    Casino Domains questions??

Hey everyone i own a bunch of domains and am really not sure what I should do with them. I am trying to sell them and have gotten offers but i am debating developing them first and then selling them or just making some affiliate sites or an actual online casino except for the fact that i live in the USA and I heard the laws here are terrible on online casinos. I am just starting out, and i was wondering if I just started online affiliate sites, is there really a lot of money to be made and how hard is it? What you you recommend for me to do wtih these domains to make the biggest profit? here is a link to my domain thread on CM, http://www.casinomeister.com/forums/...ains-sale.html

any information would be greatly appreciated. And also i would love to get some feedback from you all on which domains you think are my best domains and have the most potential. Another thing, what is the best online casino affiliate program out there and any advice would be nice. Thanks!

ps: previously purchased domain = ProjectHoldem.com

In my opinion people place way too much weight on domain names. What really matters is the content.

for example take the 2+2 poker forum (twoplustwo.com), when you search for [poker forum] it is number 2, yet the keywords [poker forum] do not appear in the domain name. That is just one example, there are millions of them out there.

If you try to open an online casino and you live in the states... You'll go to jail, fairly quickly.

Casino Affiliates is more of a grey area, in legal terms. It really depends on what state you live in. States like Washington and New York State would not be a good places to live if your a casino affiliate.

How much money is there in being a casino affiliate? Well some folks I know don't make enough to pay for their hosting and then there are some that make bank... So it just depends on you and your marketing.

One word of caution, if your not a gambler yourself, don't bother with this business. If you don't have indepth knowledge of the how this business works you won't make it... Gamblers can spot a phony a mile away.

    Good points lots0

He's right. Domain names are pretty much worth what you paid for. What really counts is building some quality and original content for these. Get them uploaded and start working on getting traffic.

Funny how some of the odd-ball names have done so well as a business - ebay, amazon, yahoo!, Google, etc. Goes to show that names need to be something you can remember easily, and they don't necessarily need to be related to the topic at hand.

But not to get you discouraged - there are plenty pf successful enterprises in this industry with casino, or poker, or gambling in their domain names. It's a good place to start.

As for being an affiliate in the States, you should get some legal advice from a lawyer who specializes in gaming law. It may cost you about $500 but it would be well worth the trouble. Each state deals with it differently and there are many many grey areas.

If you intend on focusing on a particular audience, I'd recommend a Europe facing site.

You are quiet good promoting a post which has to be be posted in the burried Sale/Buy category of the forum. Kudos.
Concerning the domains you are selling, none of them looks interesting to me.
