Accredited casino saga

Im shocked to say the least the "treatment" i have been put through this particular site.

I joined 2 days ago and deposit their max amount intending to play. After i deposited i find out i cannot play due to where i live.

Thanks for letting me deposit.

Well tonight issues got worse, they have locked my account pending i prove my identity.

The rep from this particular casino chose a very convenient time to not reply via msn chat too

I cannot withdraw my money back to the account it came from till i do this.

Sigh!

Anyone else have these kinds of issues?

.....do you live in one of the certain states or countries that do not allow online gambling? when you registered it should have said something to that effect,i would think. it is sad when they do take your deposits and then let you know that, after the fact ,imo.....i guess this is why we should check and double check places before we play.......................laurie

I registered recently at one of these casinos. It didn't let me deposit, but it waited until I'd given all my info to tell me that people from my country can't play.

Anyway, I scoured the site. Doesn't say anywhere about them not accepting players from ANY country. I called their CS and got no answer.

Guess what? I had been getting pretty much no casino spam before that (only opt-in junk), and even though I clearly marked "do not send me information on promos etc," I've been getting a whole boatload of spam lately. At least 2-3 messages a day with spam from various online casinos.

I bet that casino is a fake - just an email address harvester.

What Casino are you talking about ?? I just love all of these posts where folks come on here and post this and that about a Casino and then they don't bother to mention the name of the Casino...what the hell ?? If you are going to state what you want us to believe as fact at least have enough motivation to mention the Casinos name so we can call them out on this and maybe get this ambivalent term or lack of term thereof rectified...

Posters may be reluctant to name the casino since this might damage their ability to get the issue resolved. Unfortunately, it also hinders the others to give advice.

It seems odd that they won't simply return the errant deposit though (unless they can't send it back to where it came from). If certain countries are excluded, it should be in the terms, and not buried. Often, the problem is that the registration page includes the forbidden country, and the software allows it to be selected, and even then, the software fails to notice it is a forbidden country, and at this point there is no excuse for this, as the player has already entered it.
Casinos, after creating an account, thrust the player straight into "deposit right now" mode, often by opening the cashier page, or an advert for the current offerings on a first deposit.

It is hard for players to work out if their country is banned, as each casino seems to interpret the situation differently, and even changes from month to month.

Since this casino is accredited, it would be helpful to name and shame if both the rep and their CS continue to ignore, or be unhelpful, in returning the deposit. It would also help the rest of us decide whether the casino has given fair notice in the terms or not, as certain standards are required of accredited casinos, one of which is to adhere to their terms and conditions AS DISPLAYED when a player registers.
