    Microgaming website

    OK we have all played at MG casinos but how many of us have actually visited the MG website.
    I did recently and made a couple of observations.

    They are quick to point out their client list as evidence of what an upstanding and reputable company they are but when you look at the casinos listed around 10% of them either do not exist or are trading under a completely different name.
    Hmmmm

    I particularly like this bit though under backoffice solutions;

    Back-office solutions
    Microgaming powered casinos generate some of the highest volumes of traffic in the industry, which means the back-office management system has to be powerful enough to cope with anything. And it is. Our operators can keep track of every game, every player, and every spin to maximise results and increase their profitability.

    Now the games being random and all I wonder how that works

    Just a thought.

    It has nothing to do with randomness, or not. It is all about the wealth of stats they can extract from our Playcheck records. While WE PLAYERS can't even get our total amount wagered, or even download our data for preservation in Excel, MG operators can calculate every kind of player stat imaginable. They can work out your wagers on each and every game, your total payouts against stakes for any criteria of time, game and group imaginable. They can also analyse patterns relating to your decision to play, and for how much. All this can be used to control what promotions they offer, both as a whole, and to individual players. They can also use these stats to make player classifications, such as "bonus hunter" or "VIP".

    Pity, though, that despite all of this, they just get it wrong so often, botched promotions, unjustified claims of "bonus abuse" against loyal players, while true "bonus seekers" appear to get away with it, and boast about it.

    How often have you been told you failed to meet WR, yet you ZEROED OUT and the WR should no longer apply (a big problem prior to EZBonus).

    IF players could have the ability to download their records in a machinable format, such as CSV, we could produce our own stats, either just for fun, or to see whether we really are being "screwed over", or simply got the expected payouts for the amount wagered. Of course, we could ask CS for all of this, but could they cope

    The wording of the last sentence sounds a little more sinister to me but then I am a cynical old soul.
    Whats up with those site listed though that either don't exist or have difeerent names?

    Corporate laxity, also shows they don't give a stuff for the end users who might actually think to use the list to check that the SPAM they receive is from a legitimate MG casino.

    It also damages MG casinos themselves, as they can be falsely accused of being rogue because they claim to be MG licenced, yet do not appear on the official list. The same is true for Kahnawake and eCogra lists - sometimes the names of casinos claiming membership do not appear on the lists, and usually this means the claims are false, but sometimes it means the lists are wrong.

    Kahnawake have lost all respectability in my eyes. Being licensed by them offers nothing more than a fancy logo on the website

    They really need to restore their own reputation before offering other sites a sense of respectability.
