HAVE MG TOURNIIES LOST THEIR APPEAL ?

Have noticed that the small MG tournies do not have as many players playing them, if there is 5 persons needed it seems to take forever for them to fill up..Used to have many going at once, now no one seems interested...any one else noticed this ???

I think the fact that those are pre-set tournies is the main reason. Must be 5 players, has to be 5 mins, top prize $6 or something. But it's early days and the tournies are still really at an experimental stage.

I think they will become more attractive when players can set up their own tournies with their own game/time limit criteria and invite people. That would be popular. Thats how the FPS multiplayer games worked (Quake etc) and it was a far better way of doing it.

I expect the free tournies are most peoples first experience of them and since they are basically a con(pay to continue to have any chance) I am not surprised no one is that bothered about buy in tournies, also how frustrating is it to hit a big win and not get paid its value?
    Simmo's idea sounds more fun.
