When to move on?

I have a question that I would like to have other members input on.
When do you feel its time to move on from a casino when over a period of time your deposits have gotten you nowhere?
Also, when those of you have moved on to another casino, was it to the same software? Example: did you move from one MG to another MG, from one RTG to another RTG or did you move on to a different type of software?

Heatherad,

Speaking for myself I try a new casino out by depositing 3 or 4 times. If I get no playback whatsoever, I move on. If I really like the software, I'll try another casino with the same software. sometimes I get burned out on the same software though, and I'll switch to another. Any casino I've had good successs with, I've done well right away and just feel good about it.

So basically you wouldn't spend any great amount of time with one software(like a couple of months or so) if it was getting you nowhere? Right now, which software do you prefer?

I really dont understand the casino issue. Take up a skillgame. If you lose, get better or quit. Need to beat the player and the rake but it is there for you. Slots may have decent odds but overall it is luck. Players who frequent here are more than capable of succeeding in skill games.

just my opinion

Thanks for your opinion :) I'm sure many folks aren't into skill games, and I've stated many times that luck has no part in casinos. I'm not sure what you would call it.

Well Heather

hmmm, good question lol. I usually give a casino 5-10 deposits and if I dont get a cashout, I uninstall and give it a 3 month rest and try again. The reason why I say almost 10 deposits is because Im a low roller and only dep $10-$20

There are a couple I stay on for personal reasons. I love 3 dice, I really enjoy myself and even though I dont win very often (sometimes months at a time) I stay on there because of the contact with other ppl and my involvement and also because they pay and dont play games when u do win

I gave up on completely on a few casinos and find myself just playing at 2

I thought it would be a good question too, lol. I decided to ask it for 2 reasons...1. From reading some of the threads on here regarding this subject and 2. I, myself was curious as to how others feel about when it is time to move on from a casino that they seem to get nowhere with in regards to deposits and constantly loosing them.
I, too, stay at the casino that I've been playing with for about a year now for personal reasons. I have never once won there on my own deposits in all that time but they have been super great. I do win on bonuses however, and it always seems to be the same amount each time :p
So I guess, in a sense, I questioned it for my own personal satisfaction too as to when does a person actually move on.
3Dice do have some awesome games and the live chat is very enjoyable. But unfortunately they do not offer the deposit/withdrawal option that I am comfortable with. And on the other hand, I think to myself that if I can't win diddly squat in the free tournaments, then I'm sure as heck not going to win anything with my deposits, even though I don't win anything as it is, lol.
Playing for enjoyment is definately my number one thing, but it wouldn't hurt that after many months you get alittle something nice back, right? :)

I agree with your last post 100%. Its so funny because I know there must be ppl in here that think I win all the time because I promote 3dice so much. I sometimes see the "how much did you get for that statement" and I have never cashed out for more than $600 EVER and even though Im a low roller, I do hit max button or a little less on some of their games

The reason I feel your question is good is because you must ask yourself "why am i gambling" and when you answer that question, the rest will come easy. Yes, of course I wanna hit a big one, hell, who doesnt , BUT...is that why I gamble? The answer to that question is no. I gamble for company, keeping mental stamina and entertainment. Does the casino I am playing at provide me with that? Yes, it does, so ...will I stay even though I am not cashing out wads of money? Yes, I will stay instead of moving on. Money isnt everything, there are alot of other important things out there that keeps ones sanity and 3dice is one of them for me whether I cash out or not

If I lose $100.00 I go to a new place.
It I hit crap with that $100.00 I never go back.
I will go back to that first one I lost at in like 2 or 3 months. That's if I hit something and gave it all back.

Good games to try are Backgammon or Rummy Great Skill games:thumbsup:

I just threw $20 at inet ( which i like) but lost in a matter of minutes

maybe 20 minutes, lol

this all give and no take is getting old but its real, thats why we discuss it

dont want to sound like a sore loser but I am beginning to think the casino online community is looking like sheep being led to the slaughter

$20 more and I have lost $1000 since the first of march without any significant payback

losing struggle, kind of like Iraq

Very true babs....and also there is nothing better than being able to gamble from the comfort of your own home where you can get up for that cup of coffee whenever you want or what have you. As for it being good for the sanity, well sometimes it can drive you crazy, lol. :D

This seems to be the way they are going lately, all take and no give. I sure hope that you can get back at least some of that money you put in since March.

I personally play to make money, if i'm just seeking entertainment i'll play video games. Now having said that here is my strategy, i use 3 rtg, 2mg, all the rivals and 3 dice.First i started with rtg and basically put my 3 favs in a hat and pull out a name, once i have the name i deposit $50 sometimes with a bonus mostly not.

Then when that deposit is gone, win or lose, i go to he next software brand on my list and repeat the steps.Works pretty good for me

Not all the casino's I'd like to try have my deposit/withdrawal option.
I have Ecocard too but it takes 3-4 days for it to clear at my bank before it goes into my Ecocard account. Instadebit is the best for me. :)

I think this is an interesting topic.

I would like to elaborate a little if I anyone doesnt mind

I added up my total deposits since march 1st. $1200 roughly. I have made one cashout. On april 30th I withdrew $150 from first web casino. my first withdrawal in that span. I understand that there is a 24 hour reverse period. I guess they hope you will change your mind and lose your cashout. That was wednesday. My withdrawal showed up in my transactions as may 2nd, which was friday. 2 days after I hit the withdraw button. On may 3rd my withdraw was classified as " work in progress" in the transaction page. I was ready to gamble as may 3rd was saturday but since I didn't want to interupt the delicate withdraw cycle of the casino mechanism, I deposited money in a different casino. All the while wanting to play where my luck had been fortunate 2 days before.

Needless to say I did not fare well in desert dollar and soon I was down 3 $20 deposits. I decided to play at the different casino until I lost my cashout amount $150. which amounts to $120 minus the $30 quicktender fee they charge to put it back in your bank account. plus the 5% fee for depositing in the first place.

I lost $140 at desert dollar without even a hint that I might get ahead ( used to it i guess) and my QT account still hasn't seen the $150 cashout.

I ask you, fellow gamblers, would first web have been smarter to quickly cash me out and hope that I would redeposit, or hold my cashout and hope I reversed it?

Now when I do see my cashout I have to send it to the bank to offset the recent loss, and I intend never to deposit at firstweb again.

I know this is an old question but why does a casino take your funds instantly but wait for you to MOVE ON before paying you.

I guess that is a good reason to move on, pertaining to the subject at hand.

Move on when they are slow to pay because it is never entertaining to wait.

Otherwise we would all hang out at the DMV to watch the government move fast

When you want to spend more money to get back money already gone, you need a little break.

anyway, good luck all. Your gonna need it. (wink)

I love it, gambling with gambling. Do you ever flip a coin to decide whether to double up? I do crazy stuff like count to ten, next win after that I'll gamble, every fifth one I'll double up again. Works for me sometimes too :)

Looks like you have most of the horrid risks out of the way... playing in those casinos. (i'm guessin the rtgs are inet, club and another good one)

If a casino was smart, they would instantly approve ones withdrawal simply for the fact that you stated. If you're having any type of luck there, then chances are, you are going to deposit there again.
And of course they stall in hopes that folks will end up playing it all back before it is approved. Weekends are the worse because alot of casinos don't do approvals then.
Whenever I deposit, I do it with the mindset that my deposit is only going to last a half hour at most(depending on how much the deposit is). That way if I get a good session out of it I'm not disappointed.
It is definately quite interesting to see other folks responses on when they think its time to move on. :)

I have deemed the gamble button taboo lojo. :)
I have tried it once or twice but decided that it is hard enough to win as it is without hitting that gawd awful gamble button. :D

I notice that people move from casino to casino a lot. Isn't it more economical to stay at one all the time, because of their comps and VIP stuff? I mostly play for free - haven't deposited anything in a while, in fact, so I haven't really tried out the player clubs and rewards, but it would seem like it makes more sense to find a good one and stick with it.

I know that's true in B&M casinos - the more you bet, the better the comps.

What am I missing?

Heather still not winning on your money I see, just them bonues the casino in question giving you, are lucky,

sorry to say very much bad luck, it will come soon a big win I bet

Talos

Talos dear! :p
Of course I'm NOT winning, lol. If it weren't for the much appreciated bonuses, I'd not be winning at all. You know whats going to happen don't you?! I'll hit a freaking RJ on one of them bonuses and won't be able to keep most of it hehe.
Bad luck? Haha, you know I don't think luck has anything to do with winning at a casino.
But, you know how it goes...they love me over there, and I love them. They just don't love me enough to give me a RJ! :D

P.S. Talos, in your own opinion, when do you think its time to move on? ;)

Just lost another $100 at 3Dice. Does everyone still love this place, not many posts about them lately. Great service, terrible results from the games there. Gonna take some more of those $50 freebies to keep me playing there!

sometimes, it's more than just a question of when to move on, but when to quit all togeter. I've been playing online a while, and several times i tried to quit and couldn't because there is always that hope in the back of everyone's head that a big one is around the corner.

Playing at 3dice this last week gave me the reality check that was big enough to change everything. I've posted screenshots of 500x and 600x wins but i have to embarassingly admit how much it costs me to get those screenshots. The fact is this, i have lost more in a week than can be won by hitting the highest jackpot which made me think.... what the hell am i playing for? There is a slight predictability to the 3dice games that i'm sure a lot of people are aware of in terms of getting ahead a little after your deposit and than losing most of your balance before you start getting hits that keep you alive for a little longer (the life saver hits.)

The fact is this (for online slots in general)... these games DO NOT pay better than b & m slots and by all accounts and reasons... they absolutely should. Call it what you want, high variance, etc.... how about just plain and simple "low payback."

The good thing about 3dice is the customer service. I was able to PERMANENTLY close my 3dice account without problems. the cs is easily the best aspect of 3dice... but it does come with a cost. My "free" $50 usually cost me $300 to get.

Anyway, take it for what it's worth... but it's not my problem anymore :p.

I won't be following up on these posts but i wish everyone the best of luck.
