    Titan Poker Casino Games

Long-time lapsed member but I'm inspired to post this. Not sure if this best belongs in the Poker of Casino section, but it seems a bit more relevant to the latter so I'm putting it here.

I'm a pro poker player and I normally play on Prima/MG skins. I'm also a problem gambler, and from time to time if I'm tilting or I've had a few drinks, easy access to casino games, which are often embedded in poker software, has been a problem. Playing poker-full time it has been very difficult to avoid that kind of easy access and consequent temptation.

Then, a year or so ago I discovered that Prima/MG can, on request, block access to the casino games embedded in their poker software. If I have to go to great lengths to download new software and the like I'll generally have stopped and checked myself in time, so the MG block was brilliant for me, and enough to stop me playing those negative expectation games completely. MG deserve praise for offering this option - it's been a huge benefit to my bankroll, not to mention my general sense of well-being, and probably instrumental in my ability to go full-time with poker, which I've now been doing for a little over a year.

For a variety of reasons I won't get into I recently shifted a lot of my play over to Titan, which is part of the iPoker network - I think that's Playtech software, but I might be wrong. Anyway, to cut a long story short I asked Titan support if they could block access to casino games from within the poker software and they said no. Apparently all they can do is block an IP address from the entire site, which would block access to poker also.

They were friendly about it, and specifically advised me not to play casino games. I don't think they have any sort of malicious scheme to entrap players, I think it's just a technical issue. Nonetheless, I really feel like iPoker and anyone else who doesn't already provide this facility should address the issue and allow players to obtain this kind of block. It'd be a significant way of addressing issues of responsible gaming and gambling addiction, so I'm raising it here in the hopes the idea might find its way back to site operators and the like.

I think Titan is powered by Playtech. I also understand that Spearmaster has some contact with them. Maybe you can try to send him a PM and relay this to Playtech.
