    The Real Reason...

    Hey guys...

It's been a while since I've posted, but I am in 3Dice chat nearly every day at almost any time (you all know me as GGKris there )...

One of the reasons the rule was enacted is because the begging got to be quite a bit out of hand with some members of chat. It seemed that every time certain people came in, all they wanted to do was beg some people (and only certain people at that) for TC's (my experience) and if no one gave them any, they would essentially sit in main chat and whine basically until they got some. I know this to be true for a couple of people.

You could debate this issue ad nauseam and some people would still have a hissyfit about it. The plain and simple truth of the matter is that it got WAY out of hand, and finally someone listened to the PLAYERS and not the bottom line and did something about it. I applaud Enzo and the team for having the cojones to step up and say "Look - this is not allowed... Either stop now or go away!"

    Cheers,
    Kris

    Hi all!

Im gonna answer this thread since i do know what it´s all about.
I guess im one of the "to blame" for that message in chat. But there is a good reason for it, if you ask me.

I did share some of my winnings...i set up some tourneys and i gifted a few that i do talk to alot...that are friends.
    And that was all good.
But then it got out of control...i had people i never even seen before sending me pm's asking for money and gifts. Both in chat and from 3dice site.
Some of the ones that i did gift, came back and asked for more. And some didnt stop with 1 pm or even 2...they sent like 1-2 a day for days. Begging for money.

It got to the point where i had to tell 3Dice about it, when i started to feel that i needed to hide just because i was having some luck.

I really didnt have a problem with people asking...but the "hunting" is just to much. And the new "friends" that i got all of a sudden, that i never seen before, well...what can i say....

The message in chat is about begging from users, not about asking Enzo for a TC or 2...or a bonus if you had some really bad luck.

I hope this gives you the answer you need

I wish you all the best of luck!!

    ((((HUGS)))) Trollet

When I saw the 'no begging' message for the first time, I thought it was directed towards me specifically. Soon after I learned this was not the case.

Enzo was in chat and I told him what I thought when I first read it for the first time (that the message was meant for me). He reassured me that it was not directed towards me...at the same time, other members explained what had been going on in chat and how the begging got way out of hand with certain individuals. There are so many 'nice' and 'giving' people at 3Dice that were being taken advantage of by these 'beggers.' I personally have never been hit up for any cash or tourney credits (cuzz everyone there knows I'm always broke!)

Other members and I expressed to Enzo that the 'no begging' message in red seen immediately upon logging in is a bit harsh and could easily be misunderstood, like in my case. Enzo took what we had to say to heart and said he would go and change it. Thats fair enough for me.....

Honestly, if there's some begging going on when it really shouldn't be, those accounts should be closed and if they open new accounts and start up again they should post who is doing the offending so everyone knows to avoid them like the plague.

When someone begs me for money I just send them a nice message back with the gamblers anonymous website and phone number. Let them know they need that more than $10 more to blow on the slots.

Yeah, let them know that $10 is gone in a poof in slots of high variance.

    Hi Guys,

Allow me to apologize for the confusion that the wording of my message in the 3Dice chat caused. (It's been changed). As previous posters have pointed out, this only referred to the begging that has been going on to some of our valued players, and we came at a point where a warning for that was definitely in place.

People will be people, and unfortunately, its always the nice ones being victimized. We don't tolerate begging in the b&m (average response time to get muscle over would be about 30 secs), and we wont tolerate it in the 3Dice chat either. My message was intended to be strong, I guess I just overdid it a tiny bit . mea culpa !

(just my luck it was april 1st )

    Kindest Regards,

    Enzo

    Enzo,
Does the 3Dice chat and PM system have an "ignore" option?

I haven't used it, but this would be a way for members to enforce this rule if it turned out that these individuals ignored this message, and continued with the "begging" by more subtle means.
A simple "report this" button for the PM system and a "report user" for chat would do a similar job.

I am surprised it has taken this long for the 3Dice gifting system to fall victim to this

GoneGambling run a similar system for their GG points, which are like 3Dice "tournament credits", and there have had to be NUMEROUS efforts by GG admin to get rid of the "beggars" and "scammers" who seek to manipulate the system. GG have a switch, and they use it, turning gifting off when things get "out of hand". It is now usually "off", and only switched on for special events, such as Easter - less time and trouble to police it.

"Begging" is a way of life for us Fruit Machine players, I can guarantee that when I go on the Motorways playing Fruit Machines I will be targeted by these "beggars", asking for "a pound for a cuppa", which will, if given, go straight into a Fruit Machine
Sadly, there is no "muscle" to chuck them out, you have to deal with it either by saying "no", or having a bit of fun with them
There are SOME Motorway "beggars" who can supply "information" for their "cuppa", and sometimes this MIGHT be worth the pound.

My usual put down is "If your Fruitie system is so good, WHY do you NEED a pound from ME?"

Beware the "Fruitspider", probably the most persistent of the motorway "beggars", his "Fruitie systems" are BOGUS, but I watched in disbelief as he conned some poor innocent by getting the Jackpot for him around £20 AFTER his advice was to "knock back" the FIRST Jackpot in order to get the SAME payout through the feature game. He was given a fiver for LOSING this chap £20 unnecessarily

    Back to port for unloading.
Full Sails - before we get raided ourselves.

Yes, it does - unfortunately I have had to use it on a number of occasions - however I'm not sure if PM's can be ignored or not... but rest assured there IS an ignore feature in chat.

You could just offer to buy them a cup of tea.
