    Question Need Advice!

Hi everybody. I know it's not about online casinos or gambling but I need your advice.
As you know I had few good wins last week, hitting free spins (bet365), my lucky number 28 on roulette (BetVoyager) and some another wins, so I made almost $15k profit. And question was: well, Monster, you've won some cash. You may leave some money for gambling, some money for life and entertainment. And you will do it. But you will still have a lot of money. And I decided to visit my parents and buy them something which will remind about me. Haven't been at home for ages, not because I'm bad son, just because I'm working hard, and my work is not about sitting in office and paperpushing. So I cannot see my parents very often. They're elderly people and cannot come and visit me, they're only able to give me a call sometimes (or I call them). Well, and now I need your advice: what to buy them for present? I have almost 10 thousand dollars for consuming. Thanks in advance. Regards, Monster.

    The Monster Kid

If they are elderly and don't get out much buy them both a good message chair that has the heat control on it.
And get them a big screen tv too.
If they can go on a little Vac send them to a nice elderly resort they have.

Didn't I just read somewhere big screen tvs take up A LOT of electricity? Which in turn would make their electric bill high. (not sure if it's true, I can't remember where I read it)

    I like Babs ideas.

How about some gift certificates to the grocery store they visit. Restaurants they enjoy. Drug store.

Everyone likes gift certificates, then you can buy whatever you want. I guess it depends on how much you want to spend on them.

I can't speak for the Plasma, DLP or Projection TV's, but I can say for a fact that my LCD doesn't consume more electricity than a normal CRT TV...in actuality, I believe it takes up less to run....either way, the change is so minute that it really doesn't play a factor.

I went from a 19" CRT TV to a 32" LCD and didn't notice any changes in my bill..

I'm assuming that larger TV's won't be much of an issue either...technology is progressing so fast these days and they're definitely taking power consumption into consideration when producing these big screen models.
Operators: If you don't know what Transparency means, then here you go.....now how about practicing it?

Transparency, as used in the humanities and in a social context more generally, implies openness, communication, and accountability. It is a metaphorical extension of the meaning a "transparent" object is one that can be seen through. ...

After thinking and looking at your everyday services that people use.
Get them a grocery store card They need to eat good. that is thee best I can think of too.
Or pay for the everyday stuff Gas/Oil for the year.Credit on the phone bill so they can call you more.
I get my mother the grocery store one all the time because our parents have everything lol
As for the electricity for that tv pay that bill too for sometime.
    Let them both enjoy life.
We only have one set of parents.

the mini vacation idea sounds like a good one, but i think the trip home and your parents seeing you again will be the best present imo..........doing things as a family, looking at old photos, visiting your other family members, those things dont cost money......maybe a gift certificate at a dept. store before you leave, so that they can buy something they need, you sound like a caring son
