Strange email from Casino rewards signing me up

Just received an email from casino rewards telling me I have just recently opened an account with one of their casinos yet I have done no such thing and they seem to have many of my details such as my full name etc

    ***Dear Raymond,

Welcome to the best gaming loyalty program online!

You have just registered a new account with a casino which is a member of the CasinoRewards network. This has entitled you to free membership at CasinoRewards where you will be rewarded for continued play and loyalty with some of the biggest competitions and giveaways online.

You can access your CasinoRewards account simply by clicking on the login button in the green CasinoRewards box in the lobby of the casino software. Alternatively go to www.casinorewards.com and enter the following details:
    ****

Im currently emailing them to see where they got their information from or the idea that id signed up to one of their casinos. Its news to me lol Any one offer any advice or had a similar email from this group?

I know they have just bought CPS - casinoprofitshare - and perhaps they want to use their new database...

Do you have an old account with any of those casinos?

    Challenge Casino
    Nostalgia
    Music hall

    etc...

    Perhaps thats why!

Ah joe you may have hit the nail on the head, possibly, hopefully.

According to the casinoprofitshare.com homepage one of their clients is Golden Reef casino of which i DO have an account with. And you say that casinoprofitshare has just been bought by casinorewards? Little confusing because i remember signing up at golden reef and as far as i can remember it wasnt casinoprofitshare back then either lol

This is the result of Tusk (Casino Action) having gone into liquidation. Casino Rewards have bought the 6 casino brands from the liquidator and thus all players registered there have, from today, become members of Casino Rewards. Players who were NEVER members at any Casino Rewards property before now will, of course, receive this welcome Email.

Unfortunately, they have been a tad lazy, and have just fired off the usual Email that is sent when a player registers a new account themselves, rather than taking the time to make a good impression on the newly aquired players.
This may have the effect of making their first impression with their new players a bad one, not a smart business move.

They would have been better off designing a bespoke Email to send out, and this could tell the players that they have also agreed to honour any funds that players may have "lost" when Casino Action went under - this would have been GREAT PR for them, but they let this opportunity slip between their fingers - pity

All I got was an Email telling me my Easter bonus has been credited,

shame it wasn't addressed to me though
I still got credited, so who cares

Former Casino Action players are going to find Casino Rewards something of a let down, and may leave unless Casino Rewards take action to retain them.

Introducing the Casino Action instant Neteller payments would be a great way to start.

I am not impressed. The accounts have migrated to CR but there was no trace of the loyalty points.

It never ceases to amaze me on how there are so many PR opportunities for casinos to take advantage of, yet these opportunities seem to fly right over their heads.

They lack good communication skills. I'm playing "bystander" at the moment. I'm just sitting back observing how this entire episode is unfolding. Yes, I had an account at Music Hall casino, I also had accounts with Casino Profit Share their aff program. I'm watching and waiting for the appropriate emails and notifications that should be coming my way as both a player and as an advertiser.

    Na da - nicht.

Except for the Music Hall welcome email I received this morning, there has been nothing sent to me explaining what the heck is actually going on. Sure, I have the CM news here to fill me in, and yes there are discussions going on at CAP and here concerning this issue, but even so - the casinos have not kept their players/advertisers abreast on what has been happening. And how simple would this be to solve? They could hire a couple of college interns to take care of their PR and keep their players and affiliates informed.

But alas, this is to be expected. Or am I wrong to expect something else?

It really doesn't surprise me at all, they (CR's Group) have been just about as active on this forum board over the years as they have been with customer retention !!!

Well, they've told me in the past that they have a policy about participating on message boards and in forums. Hopefully I can convince them that joining this forum is something they ought to do. There are about 130 i-Gaming Reps on this board; to join their brethren isn't going to damage their company at all - it would only give them more exposure in a most positive way.

i just went to live chat and asked about loyalty points from casino action group and live chat told me all players loyalty points are forfeited, of which i am not happy, its not fair to us players. so i said we loose all our loyalty points and alberto says no, they are just forfeited lol. totally unfair in my opinion.
