MG VIDEO POKER

Here is an interesting situation that has been happening to me quite often for the past few months and I wonder if it is happening to any other VP player. All VP games seem to run in cycles of wins and or losses. I find when I am hitting it happens a few times in a row and I can go up and down quite a few times in an hour or two session. Here is where the problem lies, quite often now when I am on a roll the cards will freeze when I am ready to draw a new hand. This will happen up to ten times and then the game continues as before but with a real differrence. If I was winning before this freeze situation I most definitely stop winning after the freezeout. Any comments from MG VP players. Cheers

This has been happening to me but on RTG Video Poker.

The lag happens to me at B&M casinos, but I have learned that is because the game is saving to memory -- happens about every 100 hands or so.

I get that freeze when playing the download MG, but I haven't noticed it in the flash version (which I prefer).

I have never seen it not happen on any software platform and I play BJ and Baccy for the most part....Come to think of it, I know many live dealers in BandM's that do the same to me

Its good to know that it is a common thing. One less thing we have to worry about regarding online casinos

And I think Mousey and I were posting somewhat similiar at the same time FWIW!....I know very little about the math of VP but to the contrary on BJ and although I will never play enough hands to substaniate any funny biz online, I know in the short term the math of BJ is just different online. The question is does the game eventually meet long term expectations (given enough hands played) and if so how??, I am not sure but I have some theories on how I believe the software at least in BJ works (see other threads) and in the end it may meet expectations online for all I know.

Ah yes... the pit boss starts swapping out dealers every 15 minutes... or he wiggles his finger and suddenly, the dealer decides it's time for a shuffle (forget that we're not down to the cut card yet) ... or suddenly decides to raise the table limits and not allow grandfathering... or -- yeah... Been there, done that... and we ain't high rollers. LOL

But the jerk, halt, lag, in online VP I have definitely noticed -- like heather, I notice it more on RTG VP -- especially if dealt 3 Aces (playing DDB) or 3 Deuces (playing Loose Deuces), that sort of thing... and I have even been booted off RTG and unable to log back in for quite some time. Does that mean anything? I have no idea. Could just be clogged internets, or server hiccups at the casino end.... any number of things.

Like I (and a few others) keep saying... online casinos just don't feel or play the same as B&M games. I'm not saying they're cheating -- because in the end the numbers/results may be the same. I'm just saying that, to me, the RNG seems to operate a bit differently.

In my own view, something definately is different. Its like you said, they don't feel the same way and are definately not playing the same. What it is I can't quite put my finger on it, but I have noticed it big time.

I have noticed this streaking with MG. I used to play Jacks or Better a great deal when Casino Action had the Sunday VP tournament. Sometimes I would have a very prolonged winning streak, still with ups and downs, but I would just keep on getting good deals, and plenty of hits on the draw. Once, I went up some £3000 or so, and this WITHOUT a single RF, on 4 hand J or Better, at £20 per game.

I have also had negative runs, where nothing really hits, and deals are constantly bad, often just a high card J.Q,K,A, and almost no 3OK being dealt, and little or no hits 4OK and above for hundreds and hundreds of hands.
