"Blackjack and Roullette are going wild" - alarming?

    Hi,
Just noticed an announcement in one of GamblingBuilder flash casinos I do not frequent often nowdays (never win in there ) :
"In February Blackjack and Roullette are going wild, each paying over 150%!
    Good luck!"

What conclusions would you make based on this? That casino somehow increased payout rates one month, and then would decrease them back? Is it normal practice, or a sign of some kind of casino software manipulation? What would you think?

P.S. I did try to play, just out of curiosity, betting 1 cent at a time... lost as always

In land-based casinos, the cards are shuffled to produce random card drawings and the casino, dealer, pit boss, etc. do not know beforehand how much you are going to bet in any given hand. As the cards are in the shoe, they obviously cannot move cards around in response to the amount you are betting on that hand (unless they are cheating and you don't catch it).

With online casinos, the random number generator software is supposed to do the same thing, produce "random" card drawings. But you obviously do NOT see the cards in online casinos, so how do you know that the dealer would NOT have that Blackjack if you didn't raise your bet from $1 to $100? If the cards drawn are different depending on the amount you are betting, then it really isn't random, isn't it?

Unmanipulated blackjack, by itself, is supposed to be a losing game for the player. To additionally manipulate the results further in the casinos' favor is just plain wrong and that is probably why you always lost there, Fleur-De-Lis. After a while, most people who play there just quit playing because the casino manipulates the results beyond the norm (and they shouldn't be manipulating at all in the first place....normal casino game results are already in the house favor.) Soooooo...the casino (unintentionally?) revealed they can and do manipulate the casino's game results depending on whether the owner's car payment is due.

Have you asked CS about this? I think they can explain you everything. Try it!

What conclusions would you make based on this?

Conclusion 1: Don't play at any casino that suggests it can manipulate the odds
Conclusion 2: Don't play at any casino that can't spell 'Roulette' correctly.

I think it says it all right here:

Want to buy your own online casino for $10? read more...
Which is on the main page (and every other page) of one of these "casinos". You can see they're more interested in recruiting more affiliates than anything...

These casinos are nothing more than affiliate pages.

I'd stay far far away from these clip joints.

I can't agree more (at present). Ironically, one of those was the very first online gaming spot I found - looong time ago. Did not lose or won much, but regretfully got hooked for life

It's reasonable for a casino to state that "Blackjack and Roulette are currently paying 150%" - because they theoretically could be over a given (short) period of time...

It's a bit naughty, but wouldn't take any 'odds altering' or manipulation to make the statement true.

It's like when those PWC casino audits (very) occasionally show monthly payouts of over 100% for certain games... Just takes a few monster wins to send everything the wrong way and make daft gamblers like us think we can't lose
