    Question 3Dice BJ

Ok, first of all, get your mind out of the gutter

I'm confused. Not too long ago they raise their limits on slots, but in the same breath lower the limits on Blackjack? Originally it was set to $1-$300, now it's $1-100.
    What's up with that?

Enzo, can you please comment on this? I think you're shutting out med-high(er) rollers by doing this, unless you can change the limits on an individual basis. I know I like playing > $100/hand if I have the BR for it at the time.

    Thanks

Just started a tourney. Here's how the first 4 hands went:

    1: 4 card dealer 21 (vs 18, 3 showing)
    2: Dealer Blackjack
    3: Dealer Blackjack
    4: 4 card 20 (vs 17, 3 showing)

    ...switching over to slots...lol

Actually prolly a step in the right direction for slot players which is there true niche market. May eliminate the risk of having to rob Peter to pay Paul when Paul makes a big hit on BJ which is possible! Slot payout ratios may increase so maybe Katodog's/RW's thread was beneficial to both player and casino aka Win/Win!

But if what I've been hearing (reading) lately is true, it seems the slot %'s are getting lower and lower.....so I'm

While we're on the subject, Squirrel Pike needs its paytable updated, unless I'm missing something.

Before the increase of bet sizes, the payout for 3x squirrels is up to 15000 coins. I'm definitely not complaining, but as you can see, a max bet can and will pay more than the advertised amount

    Hi Winbig,

For every game a casino operates, a reserve is required. On the long run all games make the casino money because of the house-edge, but on the short term, any casino game holds a risk that is covered by a reserve. The size of the reserve depends on the game and the bet size. When 3Dice launched little over a year ago, we offered no video slots, and reserves were calculated and allocated for the games we offered back then. During 2007 a lot of video slots have been added and many more will be released during 2008, combined with the many requests we got for higher stakes on the slots we decided to reallocate the reserves to fit the demands of the players we have today.

As 3Dice grows, you will see that these numbers will increase overall, although I do support the decision to make sure to first meet the demands of the players we already have before trying to expand our scope to other new players.

The payout percentages of the slot machines we operate can not be altered in any way and have been the same for every single machine since its release. Should a machine's payout ever be adjusted, this would be clearly communicated to our players, and be accompanied with the appropriate theme and name (v2?) change to make sure no confusion is possible.

And although repeated enough - there's no such thing as positive variance only - its a love-hate thing that goes both ways. Machines that can go really fast can do that in either direction. Just keep in mind that variance also defines how many spins you can make before you are sure to be caught up by the house edge. If variance=0 then every spin costs the same amount and the house-edge catches up with you from spin 1 .. if the variance is high you can still be up or get up on the house after many hundreds of thousands of spins ..

The slot machines we offer, and especially supersuits, are not for the faint of heart ! And an unlucky run is never fun - no argument there - but the word on the street is we have a great support department .. the only thing that possibly beats venting in a forum is talking to a trained professional that is in the position to do something about it !

    Kindest Regards,

    Enzo

What exactly does that mean? Who was venting? I merely asked an honest question!
