Question Uninstall program question

I've been uninstalling some programs, cleaning out files, ect., from my computer this morning and there are a couple of casinos that are not listed in my uninstall menu. Both of these are RTG casino's, which is kinda odd don't you think.
Does anyone know how I can uninstall them if they aren't listed? Is there a free program out there that helps uninstall software that is not listed on the menu?

Thanks for the help!

BB

Go into your Windows Explorer program which is listed under accessories and open up C drive or D drive ...whichever drive holds your Program files and delete from there....then defrag the hard drive

Thank you for bringing this up. I have basically the same problem...in my add/remove programs list I have some RTG's I want to get rid of but when I go to remove them it says "uninstall path not found" or something similar...I'm hoping someone out there has an answer! I know enough to be dangerous but that's about it!! HELP guys!!

Be careful if you are going to clean the registry with it, you will lose passwords. Good idea to keep a list of casinos you flush so you don't accidently sign up again in a couple of years and create multiple accounts

Dummy mode is best for this program, if you need any help PM me and I'll try to walk you through. Depending on what tool you use in it, you could get into the neural network of your machine and induce a coma but the remove program feature is totally safe.

If I recall, the reason some RTG's don't list for uninstall is that you didn't use the option of add to menu and add to desktop when you installed them.

As well, you can just go to your file manager and delete the little buggers, and wait until someone you're comfortable with comes by and cleans your registry.

Thanks for the suggestions so far....and Lojo I've already run CCleaner.
They weren't listed in it's uninstall menu either. Know of any other programs that might be out there the might help? Oh......and I bet you are correct when you mentioned that when I installed them that I didn't choose the options to add to my menu. Duh!
CCleaner is a really nice free utility!

Robwin....I'm no nerd but just delecting the files isn't the solution. If I'm not mistaken that leaves a lot of crap in the registry and editing the registry is one of those things that blondes shouldn't mess with.

I deleted from file manager. Went into ccleaner/issues, scan for issues, deselected all that didn't have the casino name associated, and 'fixed selected issues'. It's still 'dummy mode'

But not cleaning the registry won't hurt you, it's just clutter that can be cleaned up later.

Well after my previous post I realized that CCleaner does clean up the registry of the remains of broken programs. Duh! So.....with that it mind I guess RobWin's suggestion of just deleting the files and then running CCleaner again would work.

you encapsulated it all right there; you can trash most of it, but traces will always remain unless you're really good with computers. your computer has thousands of entries in the registry, and attempting to root out the ones you wish to get rid of without harming anything else is definitely "proceed with caution". back up the files you want to an external drive and reformat, if you really want to de-garbage. it's the only way to ensure 100% cleanliness.

You are right a reformat is the only way to get it all cleaned up and I have done that before but it's been a while. I'm planning on getting a new puter in the next few months so I'm gonna hold out on that reformat option....it's a huge PIA. It takes forever to just reinstall the windows updates.

It can, but when you defrag a couple of times the registry will eventually dump the file associations and there will be no other area to use them....there is a good program you can download for free that will defrag...really defrag, not like the program that comes with windows...its at the IOBIT site...here you go if interested...

http://www.iobit.com/iobitsmartdefrag.html?Str=download

and you can also use as a cleaner:

http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindows...l?Str=download

Just so you know, I'm not just shooting this crap at you blindly, I've been doing this with RTG's for the last four years...anyway it works for me
