    Grand Mondial

I closed my account with Grand Mondial a few months ago.

    Tonight I receive this email....

Grand Mondial launches the CLUB of all CLUBS
Grand Mondial Casino is pleased to announce the launch of the new Grand CLUB Mondial, a world-class Loyalty Programme that allows players the convenience of accessing and viewing their loyalty status and loyalty bonuses accumulated 24/7.

To celebrate, we are offering ALL players a 2500 CLUB point ‘gift'!

This gift will be added to your account on Tuesday 11th December 2007
So I said what the heck, I might play there a bit, they must have never closed my account since I am receiving an email from them.

I download, and guess what? Account locked?

Does this make sense to anyone?

I also received the same e-mail but there was a summary of my current club points which had the 2500 points added to them. Did they send you this summary?

Meanwhile, on the question of Club points, I notice that you get an additional 5000 club points for your first web wallet deposit of $50 or more. Can Mario clarify whether this means that your first ever web wallet must be at least $50 to qualify or that once you have deposited $50 on a subsequent occasion with a webwallet you still qualify for this?

Yes I received that summary, I got the whole email but only posted that particular part of it.

I will assume you are asking your second question to Grand Mondial since I have no idea on that one....lol

Isn't is strange though? Someone who closed their account and is locked out to receive an email?

I always thought so too until... I received the 5000 bonus points (£5) that chuchu59 mentions and turned it into £475

My account balance there was 0.00... until I received the email regarding the £5 bonus, so I logged in and had one of those sessions were you hit the bonus on every game

For some reason the software still wanted me to complete the wagering for the sign-up bonus and free spins bonus, this forced me to keep wagering and was actually the reason I won so much hehe

This was to mark a special occasion, the FIRST ANNIVERSARY of this particular Microgaming bug
To get round it, do NOT zero out on a bonus, leave a tiny balance instead, and WR do NOT generally get erroneously carried on a fresh deposit or redemption of comps (unless comps are credited as bonus, not cash).

Yes, it has been reported many times, and has even lead to official complaints to eCogra, but all that happens is a fix on a case by case basis, Microgaming show no interest in fixing this, just as with the many other bugs that work to the detriment of players, such as allowing wrong currencies to be registered, slots getting stuck in free spins, slow connections, getting booted/unable to connect, many problems with the multi-player tournaments.

One bug has now been fixed (mostly), and that is the length of time taken to freshly install an MG casino if you have others already on the hard drive.

From what I saw, you have to cash in points in increments of 5,000....there's no way to cash partial points... 5,000 = $5
