Playing for 2 hours is a least 1000 spins. And actually Aztec Treasures is 20-lines compared to "Thunderstruck" 9-lines, which should even further decrease the variance, making it even harder to get such a result.

RTG have always had this ability to set the payouts, and if they are really screwed down tight, such bad sessions are more likely.
At the moment, there seems to be a two week famine of bonus rounds at MG, and this has been consistent over several different casinos. The RNG seems to be trotting out a long sequence of poor results. MG seems prone to these prolonged bad spells, after which a flurry of great hits will arrive.
