Interesting idea. I guess US peeps could test that theory at other casinos maybe too by depositing 9.99 or some such?

I was being sarcastic - FL has instructed depositors to use figures like $50.13 instead of $50 - the only casino group to do so that I'm aware of - for a long, long time. Also, I've stated in other posts how my NetSpend Visa pre-paid debit card is the dream Visa to have for online gaming and that I've never been declined anywhere - well, not entirely true. The only casinos I have ever been declined at are the FL casinos. I could make a deposit but if I want to re-deposit after losing, the second deposit was often declined even though I had ample funds available. They claimed that I was declined by my bank or by Visa but, with my card's support people on the phone with me, I learned that the declined deposit attempts were never even presented to NetSpend! I always told them they were fulla **** and that their card processor was lazy or something and costing them business as I could, after being declined at FL, could deposit anywhere else. This always puzzled me: why would as big operator like FL have such a funky card processor?

Instead of fiddling with the deposit amounts I think it would be wiser to just tell their processor to stop blocking US customers. It's their processor who is to blame for the majority of the declinations.

My bank doesn't make use of the gambling flag and doesn't decline anything. Yet, I started getting declinations at all MG's earlier this year around the same time, which was shortly after MasterCard implemented their "no gambling" rule. The declinations were from FL's payment processor, which most MG's use.

Banks who don't like online gambling will continue to decline transactions based on whether or not the gambling flag is set, not based on the number of pennies in the amount.

This is the best laugh I've had in a long time.

I had the same deal SW. Most of all of my MG deposits from my debit card were being turned down so I asked the bank one evening why my last 20 transactions were declined and they looked it up and said nothing ever came through, they were showing no activity on that card.

I'd try depositing with my Visa support on the phone with me as I did it and not one declined trans ever got as far as my card issuer. The casino support always would say "why would we say that if it weren't true - don't you think we want you to deposit?" Told them they said that cuz they were TRAINED to say that. Duh!

it's actually a quite clever move that FL made here, for reasons not to be discussed publicly. kudos to FL.
