Four new online gambling venues planned for Asian market

Online gambling software provider Playtech's penetration of the Asian market appears to be continuing apace, judging by further contract announcements this week from Sutida Suwunnavid, spokesman for Buzz Technologies, Inc. which is using the company's gambling software for its various operations under the 12buzz.com banner.

12buzz has released four online casinos and poker sites specifically aimed at what it claims is Asia's booming online gaming market.

The 100 + games in the gambling suite will soon be available on Buzz i-active television, and a selection is being provided for mobile gamblers, too.

Buzz estimates the total potential audience at over 500 million, with 100 million in China alone. The sites are for gambling and non-gambling community players, and the games themselves are all offered in free-to-play mode for PC, Mobile and TV. Two premier Asian domians have been acquired by Buzz, with full ownership and permission to operate. Bet.cn.com operating now and China-casino.tv set to launch before the end of the week.

Suwunnavid also revealed that Buzz has been developing a multimedia sportsbook for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, which will be ready for Beta testing within the next 90 days.

Buzz Technologies, Inc. is a convergent media company with operations ranging from infrastructure development to online retail.

Japan's a huge market and don't forget the ex-pat Chinese community who would still rather trust a local product. Location is secondary to culture in the Asian market or so I am lead to believe.

Personal gambling online isn't a crime in China like USA. Gambling gangs and operations online or offline are illegal.

You are right. Most Chinese players play at local scam sportsbooks (most of them are scams). They just don't like english gambling firms. However, bet365 has achieved great success in Asian. It's a model for any western company having a plan to enter this market.

You never know whether they suddenly interpret this action (online gambling) as a crime. With such a huge gambling community there are bound to be vested interests. Meanwhile, for starters playtech should allow people from Hong Kong to play at their sites.

I went to the vegas-buzz.com site. It was actually Vegas Red. Dont know what they are doing but it is stated that players from China are still prohibited. And they are talking of 100 million potential players in China alone?
