    Post Microgaming Slow Reels (Solution)

    Hey guys

Thought I'd share this tip if you find MG software is running slow. I was getting slow slot reels - frustrating, so Spearmaster was helping me out. If you play the Slot Tournaments and get 11-12+ spins per minute on Tombraider or Thunderstruck you are probably fine, if its less then this may help.

I had a reinstall of Windows XP done to a new Hard Disk on Friday and he correctly guessed that the chap doing it had done a BIOS reset. This meant that the (standard built-in) Graphics card had been reset to use 32Meg of memory - just not enough to handle Thunderstruck graphics.

Rebooted, pressed DEL to enter BIOS ("SETUP") on boot and found/set the VGA "Shared Memory" setting to "128Meg" (64Meg may have been enough), rebooted and now the reels spin superbly and the whole graphic experience is sharper all round.

EDITED TO ADD: I have written this up in a Slot Tournaments Troubleshooting Guide

    So there you go.

    Cheers
