I've noticed the same thing, after a big win at MG literally £500 goes nowhere lucky to get in a feature once and when I do lucky to get 10x bet.

The best thing you can do is not get greedy and up the bets, I made that mistake and regret it badly after realising that lower bets can still yield decent wins and you won't feel like absolute sh#t after loosing small amounts.

The max deposit in 24 hours can be a saviour too, knock that right down if you are twitching to do a big deposit and prevent yourself, if you do end up knocking it back up when you next go to play you've probably come to your senses.
