Question wire transer fees?

I recently made a small withdrawal and a reputable RTG casino and it was my first wire transfer. My bank charged me an international wire transfer fee but a little more than 10% of the withdrawal never made it to my bank. My bank says it was not sent and the horrible cs rep insists they sent it. I have a pm into he rep here to have the issue resolved.

I now have a much larger withdrawal scheduled (hit my first random yippee!!) and would be VERY upset is 10% of this go lost in the air between the casino and my bank.

Can anyone tell me if RTG's typically charge any fees for wires beyone the $50.00 they charge for the withdrawal?

Thanks for your help.

my bank always charged me wire transfer fees. depending on the amount of the withdrawal would depend on the amount of the fee.
anything up to $500.00 was at least $20 wire transfer fee. I think the higher the wire transfer amount the higher the fee. (I don't know, never got to cash out more than $700 ... havent' cashed out at all in months! but havent' been playing for cash much at all anymore anyway).
good luck!

Is it not the rule that the casino take the transfer fee at its charge ?
For example, when you deposit 100$ with a transfer, you have 100$ in your casino account even if the casino just received 95$, they credit you with 100$.
Same for withdrawals, if the player withdraw 100$ and ask for an transfer, shouldn't he receive 100$, even if the casino have to spend 105$ ?

From what I was told by the casino I managed to cash out at in the past, they are not charging the wire fees but the bank you deal with is... especially if it is an international wire transfer.

aodat2 is just really niceaodat2 is just really niceaodat2 is just really niceaodat2 is just really niceaodat2 is just really nice

Here's some info I could share with you guys on Wire Transfer and fees and etc.

Wire Transfer usually is done via a simple system of messages. But the computers connected are not of a centralized system. Nobody is allowed to control the world's banking system. They will all have to go through from 1 bank to another and etc.

If your bank has ties or connections with the other bank, then your wire transfer will be done relatively quickly. Everything should be done within a day or 2 at most (if it's related banks). If not, all Wire Transfers will have to go through an "Intermediatary Bank" in order to reach your bank. Certain smaller banks do not have that many links and thus will use other banks to reach your bank.

Example ABC Bank (a local bank of a certain town) might not be connected to XYZ Casino's Bank. So, in order for XYZ Casino's Bank to send you a wire transfer, it will have to go through another bigger bank and that bigger bank will only credit your bank and then your bank to you. If you know banks good enough, they are always on the WINNING side and never on the losing side. Thus the small work for them in the middle usually will cost you some money (usually $10-$30).

By mentioning bigger banks, I mean banks like JP Morgan, CitiBank, Wells Fargo and etc. Those are HUGE banks compared to a local bank at a local town. Those banks are usually used as a middle man for Wire Transfer.

That's how money is lost along the way.

But then again, everyone has the option of paying the fees for the middleman cost themselves or making the receiver pay the cost. Usually (by practice), the receiver will be paying for the fees and thus it's a common practice but if you really want a certain party to receive $1000, you need to mention to your bank that you will be paying all the Intermeadiatary Fees and that you would like the receiving party to get exactly $1000 as the amount. That way, your bank will charge you the fees instead of the receiver.

Usually receiving a Wire Transfer does not cost anything as they are exactly like depositing CASH but banks are known to charge a small amount (usually between $5 - $30) for receiving a Wire Transfer. I have NEVER heard of any bank or any financial institution at all to charge a PERCENTAGE as a fee for Wire Transfer. If they do, it's exactly like saying that they will be charging you a certain percentage for depositing CASH to the bank. If this is really the case, please GET AWAY FROM THAT BANK IMMEDIATELY!!!

I really hope that this small explanation tells you a little more about Wire Transfer, their process and the fees involved.

If you have any further questions, I'll try my best to answer them as best I could. Thanks!

I have also experienced this "lifting" fee being deducted from international wire transfers from ecocards, even when I tried a different bank account.

While it was frustrating that neither my bank nor ecocard could provide much detail about the fee, like *which* intermediary bank charged it, as long as it's reasonable, like $25, then it's probably just an unpleasant fact of life.
