    Strange happenings at Apinalls

    Hi

I Had a weird thing happening at Aspinalls casino which I do not understand.

I played multihand Atlantic blackjack and with their initial bonus of $200 build my chipsize to about $650.

Then I encountered a losing streak which saw my winnings disappear. I don't mind as this is the name of the game.

I realised I would have to deposit more money to try and regain my losses and deposited $100.

I received a casino error and decided to reconnect.

On reconnecting, to my dismay I realised that my maximum allowed bet was lowered from $200 to $10, crippling my chances of ever recouperating my losses.

I contacted casino support who said that they had to forward my request to reinstate the maximum allowed bet to $200 to microgaming for evaluation.

What is going on here, can anybody help

    Regards

    Alwyn

You have encountered a little known feature of MG software, along with a piece of Bullshit from Aspinalls. It has nothing to do with MG what a particular player's betsize is, it is down to the operator. The casino error may have been when they were making the changes, which would have to be done while you were offline.
This was used by Casino Action when they had bonus accounts. All the Blackjack games had the limits set to $100 in bonus accounts, and $500 in the real accounts. It was not always so, once bonus accounts had the same limits as real accounts, but the lower limits in the bonus account was to stop the one big bet & grind in order to transfer winnings to the real account.

They would have done this to you in order to prevent you clearing bonus WR with the same strategy, although in their case they made the alteration too late, after you tried & failed with the SUB. This was idiotic, as they have highlighted this MG feature, yet acted too late so now it doesn't matter now.
Other MG casinos use this simply to set global limits over the whole casino, but can also use it to offer higher limits to their whales. For Blackjack, it is generally $1 to $500 per hand, but Casino Action permit $0.50, and 32Red only allow bets as low as $2. Slots can similarly be set, although the feature is confined to 3 reel slots in the main, with 25c being the minimum, but some allowing 1c or 5c minima.

We don't know whether Aspinalls would have confiscated your winnings had you succeeded.

    Thank you for the reply.

    Makes sense.

I Cannot see that this bonus thing so important for them.

I thought that they would like me to come back as a regular customer.

Something which i am wondering about with this particular casino.

Makes me angry that they are lying to me.

    Regards
