    Message for Mysticjoz....help!

Hi Mysticm you currently can't receive PM's from me and the subject of my message isn't so private that I don't want everyone to see.

In an earlier thread you recommended that I use epassporte.com to go about getting a viable Visa Debit Card to use at the online casino. I really like the idea of this option and went through the sign-up procedure.

After signing up I got this message:

In order to complete the sign up process, you will need to receive an initial transfer of at least US $5.00 from another ePassporte Account Holder. Simply provide the sender with your ePassporte User ID to complete the transaction. ePassporte will deduct an activation fee of US $5.00 from your account balance once you receive funds.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via the Message Center or by using any of the information listed below:

    Toll-Free from US: 1-877-3727790
    International and US: 1-310-301-2001

    Thank you for choosing ePassporte!
Is this normal, it seems like a pretty absurd way to go about signing up. Seeing as I don't know any other epassporte account holders and I would imagine very few brand new epassporte account holders would, surely this is making it very difficult for people to sign-up or access and use the card.

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    A confused LOS.

I just also read this in the FAQ section.

    What are my Account Features?

As listed below, ePassporte offers a host of services to our Account Holders. For security purposes, ePassporte Account Holders from Latvia, Malaysia, Moldova, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, and Vietnam are subject to limited Account Features.
    These accounts are Controlled Accounts.

Account Features Standard Accounts Controlled Accounts
Load Money with a Credit Card NO
Online Purchases with Visa Virtual YES
    Make ePpurchase Transactions YES
    Create Gift Accounts YES
Receive Money from other Personal Accounts NO
Send Money to other Personal Accounts YES
Receive Money from other Business Accounts YES
Send Money to other Business Accounts NO
    Purchase a Visa Card YES
    Visa Card ATM Withdrawal YES
    Bank Wire Transfer Withdrawal YES
So they want me to receive a $5 transfer from another epassporte account holder to complete the sign-up procedure, then won't let me receive transfers from other epassporte members.

I like the way you work epassporte!

You post made me laugh because.....

    You are Canadian/in Canada.

You should know more than anyone.

As a Brit it is my patriotic obligation to not trust a Frenchman.

If you have a controlled account you can still receive $5 from a business account, however you cannot send TO a business account, which probably means you cannot directly use the service to deposit at a casino.

I don't see Thailand in the list for controlled accounts though, so this may well not apply.

Apart from this, is it absurd that you have to beg $5 from another account holder in order to sign up. Normally, verification entails them making a very small credit to one of your bank accounts, and you having to verify both receipt, and the exact amount.

Maybe you can persuade a casino to give you the $5 - tell them you cannot deposit until you have completed this procedure due to rules imposed by ePassporte.

The PM problem with Mystic may be due to her mailbox being full, and if Mystic sees this, could she go into her profile and check there is space for new PMs.

    Thanks for the reply vinyl...

I don't see Thailand in the list for controlled accounts though, so this may well not apply
In the FAQ they are not, but at the drop-down list when verifying they have two asterisks preceding the country name, indicating that Thailand is a controlled country.

ePassporte Account Holders from Latvia, Malaysia, Moldova, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, and Vietnam are subject to limited Account Features.
    NO THAILAND.

    Slightly confusing.

It does say in the features that I am allowed to make online purchases, I assume this feature would let me purchase credits at the casino. Then seeing as I can receive money from the casino, they would be able to pay me.

Anyway, I don't really know what to make of all of this, other than the fact that it all seems like too much hard work for my tiny brain.

    Hi land of smiles,
I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you! Wow, I have alot going on at the "homefront" .. .When I signed up for epassporte.com they did not have that requirement.
If I have a good weekend, I will load $25 into that account, it's been dormant for some time now. I think when I signed up they just needed my credit card number.. But I did find...
Futura Mastercard Gift cards! they come in a multi colored package and come in increments of $25, $50 and $100. BUT.. they do charge some cents per transaction, so IF you buy one of these cards for say $25 you can not deposit the whole $25 to one place, it would have to be $24 and I have a few cards here that have 60 cents or 24 cents on them.. AND they will not combine all the change into one card. So it leaves you out by so much change per card..
Thier website is www.futuracards.com and you can buy them at rite-aid, cvs, etc.. you can check it out here...
    http://www.futuracards.com/where_to_...se_cards.shtml

oh.. and sorry about not being able to PM me... I will correct that right now.
    Best of Luck!

BTW anyone else try to pm me?? Jk.. I am trying to do about fifteen million things at once... right now silkprints thread about the fairy tale sounds like a great dinner for me!
