Ladbrokes - expirience with US$ deposits

    Hi all.

Just want to throw my 2 cents about Ladbroke casino.

I know it is a well established casino, but their T&C is a bit confusing. Therefore, just a word of advice: if you intend to deposit in currency other than GBP make sure you have confirmed by their support what currency/chip ratio is.

Why? Simply because your bonus is bound to chips (100% matches) and not for 100 GBP (or equivalent) as it could be concluded (articles 6 and 7) from T&C.

And best of all, there is no way and no math formula for that currency/chip ratio.

For example if you deposit in US$, you will get same amount in chips (1:1), although actual USD/GBP ratio is 2:1. Which leads that one chip is worth of 0.5 GBP.

Now, if you deposit in HK$, you will have 10:1 ratio and 10 times less chips, although actual HKD/GBP is 16:1 (approximately). In this case one chip worth 0.625 GBP.
I dont know other ratios (for Euro 1:1 probably), but for other currencies i have no clue.

Point is, "other currencies" are actually treated separately one from another, and not, as stated in T&C, with one rule.

Its a 100 % match bonus on whatever currency you sign up in. you are correct in that actual value of money you are being given is greater by choosing PDS over USD but in terms of casino play its moot because its represented as coins. This is same in almost all casinos ive come accross.

Yep I know it is usual to treat figures (for example 100% match bonus op to 100, no matter what currency you play) instead of currency values. But if you look in Ladbrokes example with Hong Kong dollars, you'll see how other currencies are treated by its real value. That example is what misleader me.

Problem is actually how much money in other currencies is upper limit for welcome bonus? For example, if you use HK$, you have to deposit 1000 of them.

I know it’s not a big deal, just a word of precaution.

Heh, me neither. But i asked their support.

Now, i just read T6C from VC Casino.

"1. To qualify for the sign-up bonus, the customer must wager £500 to receive the £50 bonus, or £5000 to receive the £250 bonus, or the equivalent in the chosen local currency - for the purpose of this promotion the prevailing exchange rate for USD and EURO is £1 = $2 and £1 =€1.5. Each new player may only claim one of the above bonuses and once a claim is received it cannot be changed or altered in any way. "

And thats the way T&C should be written.

    BTW VC treat USD:GBP 2:1,
