hiya
i need to slow down a bit on spending because of things coming up and I was wondering if anyone knew of an online casino that has free tournaments besides Super Slots. I dont like just playing for fun, that to me is like ordering one of those virgin cocktails lol

thanks

Besides the MG ones listed above, I also play in the English Harbour tournaments although I have no idea why! I'll never deposit there again because I find that all of their games suck and/or are rigged (especially blackjack). Last night I played the Daredevil slot tournament. Betting $100 a spin I got the feature, and won a whopping $130. How crappy is that? And it's not like it was a free spin feature, it's a wait-and-see-what-you-get feature. They seriously ought to be able to do better than 1.3x. Plus most of their tournaments are on the 3-reel slots which are even worse.

But anyway, besides that - you should consider playing in the poker freerolls on MG or PokerStars. The nice thing about poker freerolls are that they will occupy you for a few hours; the downside is that it can get boring if you're not really into poker.

100 dollars a spin :eek2: thats frightening lol your not a bank robber perse are you? :p

Oh no, it's not like that. The tournament is free to enter, and you start off with $1000 to play with and you can bet pretty much however big or small you want to. It's all "funny money" like poker chips in a freeroll poker tournament. I just got bored and started betting bigger hoping to hit the feature. Well, I did, and it doesn't seem to pay any better than if I had bet $5 or $10.

You don't get to keep any of the money that you played with; instead you are paid a slots-only bonus based on your position in the tournament.

i love poker but.....

there's nothing like playing with real cards and holding the chips
I play 7 card stud at the Trop in A.C.. Im not a TX holdem gal

thanks for the info on the other stuff

I wish I new about this earlier!!!

I am playing one in a few minutes....you only get 5 minutes to play and 50 bucks to play with  on tomb raider. They are hard to get into!!!

I am also going to try one at pokerstars tonight, wish me luck

Any other casinos that do this?

So glad I came across this link. I love poker. Very bad at it but what the heck right. It will save me some moola!

I played my first freeroll ever! Lost all my Welcome Freeroll in about 15 secs. I think I will have to practice with these freerolls for quite a while. Seems I am a bit rusty.

Good luck babs7262. :D

I just played poker at pokerstars, and there were only 3 of us playing out of 10 (the other 7 were sitting out), it really SUCKED. Why sign up if you aren't going to play? I'm not playing there again.

One guy just kept going almost all in every hand. I finished around 4,000 out of 8,000.

Where do you find the freerolls at Royal Vegas, Riverbelle, All Jackpots, 3Dice, Casino Classic or any others? Do you download the casino or is it a separate thing like Poker Time?

Also, on Poker Time it says the freerolls are four times a day but I can only find times for 3X.

Are there freerolls on Poker Time for anything other than Texas Hold 'Em? That is my preferred game but would love to get in on all the freerolls I can.

It isn't that I'm not looking I just can't find the info I want. Maybe I should look when I am fully awake?

Like babs I need to slow down a bit and this is fun. :D

Well, the freerolls at Royal Vegas/River Belle/All Jackpots/Casino Classic are all the same, and they're built in to the MG casino lobby. They are all linked as well, so you can only play in any given tournament once. Pick which of those 4 casinos you like best and enter the tournaments through that one (you'll have to set up a screen name, and you can only have one).

At 3Dice they are available from the Cashier, click on the My Tournaments tab and you will find them.

They have $1,000 Texas Hold freerolls every day at 1:00pm EST, 8:30pm EST and 1:00am EST; then there's a $500 at 4:45am EST and a $200 one at 8:00am EST.

At 4:30pm EST there is a $250 5-Card-Draw tournament, and 9:30pm EST there's a $250 7-Card Stud tournament.

Registration usually opens an hour before the game times, so be sure to register for the tournaments an hour before they start - especially on the less-than-$1,000 ones because the 5,000 max players is usually reached before the tournament starts. The 12,000 max players on the $1,000 tournaments is sometimes reached but not so much lately.

Good luck! And watch out for a shifty character named "Pinababy69" - she's a real shark! :p

Several times...

wow, then surely it isn't a coincidence.... I mean if the average feature is hit every 130 spins or so, then only 1/130 tournaments would you hit it on your last spin  The last time it happened i was actually waiting for it to happen. The clock was already on 00:00 but i managed to spin one last time, the reels span and span for around 4 seconds longer than usual and then i hit 3 Lara Croft thingys. I shook my head and thought "Yeah RIGHT!" :sob:

Yeah it happened to me I think 3 tournaments in a row back when I first discovered them a few months ago. Then I went for a while without getting any whatsoever. And now recently it happened to me twice within the past week. Still hard to say whether or not it's coincidence.

It happened to me about 3 times too....I also find it strange about 100 other people playing have the EXACT same credits as me :what:

I wish it was longer than 5 minutes. It goes by so quick!

Could someone please explain how the free tournaments work at Royal Vegas?
I have not purchased there in about 6 months being I am from NY. How do you enter and do you have to make a purchase in order to collect any winnings? Thanks!

Hard to say. I haven't deposited there in about 6 months either but I have been playing these tournaments there the whole time.

Also, when you win, you don't win cash, you win a 30x WR bonus instead. And I think it counts the free entry into the tournaments as a bonus too so when you finally win, you have to wager the (amount you won in the tourney plus the rebuy amount for each tournament you played along the way) times 30. Meaning when you get the bonus from placing in the top 10 and start playing with that, your winnings will be going into your BONUS balance instead of your cash balance, unless you win big. And the info in the cashier isn't always accurate. Apparently it's a known bug with MG.

Anyway, as far as cashing out, well I haven't had that problem. Their T&C seem to indicate that you can cash out if you have made a real money deposit of $20 or more in the past, so I think you can probably withdraw if you have met the WR of your $1.25 bonus :D

Thank you for answering me so fast!
If you don't mind, could you please explain how you enter? Is it by invite only?
Thanks again!

No invite needed for the $50 and $200 Tomb Raider and Thunderstruck tournaments - just click on them to enter. A little thing will pop up saying it's free to enter, then click Join or whatever the button is (it's on the left).

Ok. I found how to enter. On the left hand side of the games lobby where they have the games catagories there is one for tournaments. Just click it and pick the ones that are free. Just click on them and enter. Good Luck everyone!

I did really well at the $200 Thunderstruck tournament earlier this evening. I got the free spins about a minute into it, that gave me 225 coins to start with. 14 of the spins were losers. The single winning spin was 2 staffs on one payline, normally worth 10 but tripled so 30 coins. Total feature win = 225+30 = 255 coins. I finished the tournament with a whopping 780 coins total. :barf:

Oh boy! Sounds like I have my work cut out for me! I hope you do better next time!
That's the understatement of the century. There are now generally 600+ players in the $50 tournaments and 1,000+ in the $200 and Free Entry to $20k Weekender tournaments.

In the free entry to the weekender, the top 20 get free entry.

In the $50 and $200 ones, only the top 10 pay (and in the $50 one most of them are crap).

They should add Isis as a tourney game. I can see it now: the top 3 players would have over 250,000 coins in winnings and everyone else would have less than 500.

No bonus round here either, but they're few and far between anyway. You can go a few days without ever getting one because if you bet max you only get 67 spins (66 with all lines and 1 spin with 2/3 of the lines). There have also been times where I've gotten the free spins 3 times and gotten absolute rubbish.

happened twice

Yes, twice I got the free spins at the end but I wasnt even close to being in the first 10. I uninstalled it. It got me too crazy lol

BTW...how in the hell could someone get over 40,000 points in under 5 minutes, one time I got the free spins and bonus picks and lara and had 10,000 points doing well but 40,000? who are they blowing to win this tournament?

Now now...

In one of the Thunderstruck tournaments I got five staffs (Thor included) during the free spins for a nice 24,000 hit. I was on the phone at the time so I couldn't squeal or say anything about it... that was a good exercise in self control.

Anyway... don't forget that there are a lot of people playing these things. With 500 people that's over 32,000 spins occuring in those 5 minutes. With 1000 people it's more than 65,000 spins. Anything pretty much can, and does, happen within 5 minutes because of the sheer number of spins being played.
