Mansion Casino Bonus

Hi Gang

I was offered a 100% bonus up to $500 to try the new download Mansion Casino (Playtech) as a customer who has played before on the flash version.

"Great!" I think.

So I deposit $50 to try it out and transfer the funds to the download casino as instructed, but no bonus appears. The email states the bonus is triggered upon your first transfer, so I contact live help, who responds:

On making your first fund transfer the bonus will be triggered. Once you have wagered your first fund transfer 40 times on Mansion Download Casino the bonus will be released to your account

HUH??? I dont remember reading anything about that, except the part in the terms which states:

To cash out this casino bonus, players must wager 40 times the deposit plus bonus amount.
(e.g. Deposit of $500/£250/€375 = Wager of $20,000/£10,000/€14,000 and get $500/£250/€375 bonus deposited into your account).

Now, these terms are very misleading, as it actually says wager 40x deposit and THEN get the 100% Bonus, but the email says:

Here’s how to claim your 100% up to $500...

dwnload our new MANSION Casino Software
Log on to Real Play with your existing MANSION Username & Password
To transfer funds and start playing click on CASHIER and go to the FUND TRANSFER tab
Select the option to transfer funds from MANSION to MY CASINO and enter the amount you would like to transfer
Please note your bonus will be triggered on your first fund transfer so to get your maximum 100% deposit you’ll need to transfer a minimum of $500

The term 'triggered' gives a very reasonable impression that you will receive the bonus when you transfer the funds. You need to click on the 'terms and conditions' link at the bottom, and THEN click on the casino promotions tab to even get to the actual terms.

Yes, I should have read the terms word for word first, but the way it is worded right throughout is misleading and I have never come across any other casino that uses this bonus system (especially not playtech)

Anyway, I withdrew my deposit in protest without any wagering, and uninstalled the casino. Its only $50, so Im sure it doesnt matter to them, but I dont like feeling as if I havent been fairly informed.

Opinions??

(P.S. Mansion in the past has been trouble-free, which is why I decided to give the new casino a try)

I have come across misleading or confusing T&C like this quite often, e.g. at most Wagerworks casinos. Even though I cannot remember having played a non-postwager bonus at a Wagerworks casino, most T&C include a passage like this one at virgin casino:
"Once you have deposited, we will match the amount up to £50 in bonus funds. These funds are non-withdrawable. To convert the bonus into cash customers must stake an amount equal to ten (10) times their initial deposit. The bonus is converted in full when 100% of the Wagering Requirements are met."

Amigo has been spending a lot of time in the forum
Wouldn't have thought they were being deliberatly misleading as they have offered very generous bonuses in the past and, as you say, are considered quite reputable.

Through reading the terms I can agree though, can't see anywhere where they state that you must wager 40x before its awarded.

if you played there before, you should know this is how it works. when they gave the free bet on the steelers, many people put 1100 USD onto their site for a free chance at a 1000 win. many hedged on it at other sites for a guaranteed profit. i let it ride and steelers eked out a win just over the spread.

and in making the free bet, everyone doing this triggered a casino deposit bonus that they could play to earn another 1000 in bonus after doing like 200,000 in wagering. admittedly i was a committed follower to some whoring websites at the time and thus maybe had some special knowledge from previous users so i knew what i was in for, but this is how it has always been at mansion.

and they have had issues, there was a huge thread (20+ pages?) here from a whiner who tried to grind that bonus using keno with sidebets, and when they disallowed usa players he was trying to have them credit an amount of the bonus in the proportion to how much of the wr was complete (even though he would not be able to rollover the bonus once given, for the same reason he can't finish the wr now).

they finally capitulated and allowed him to finish the wr at poker, where americans were still allowed (and which he could have done all along also) and still this was unacceptable to the player ("i'm not a poker player, so it isn't really fair since i can't win"). but being a regular at 2+2, i contend that he probably is not a keno player either, but rather an advantage player on a quest for free money. and he got burned. stupid american laws. not mansion's fault at all imo. he undertook to play the bonus with huge wr at a slow-ish game like keno, and surely knew the cloud of the uigea loomed near.

i agree "triggered" is an ambiguous term, and indeed in their earlier days there was even a provision that you had to ask in live chat to "promote" the bonus chips, once given, to the top of your stack. if you did not do this, you could never roll the bonus chips over into cash (as required) without losing all the cash funds first.

dodgy, arguably. typical mansion though, ever since.

blankley has been spending a lot of time in the forum
I have been offered soemthing similar - 100% to £300

However the terms are a bit different from the original poster -

'Please note that the following games are excluded from your introductory special bonus: all forms of Roulette, Craps, Pontoon, all forms of Baccarat, Blackjack Switch and Sic Bo. | This offer is only available on MANSION Download Casino games. | Wagering requirements: You must wager your initial fund transfer 50 times before your bonus is released. Any misuse of this bonus will result in your account being closed and bonus funds being withheld '

So is it released as cash or are there secret wagering requirements after it has been released into my account?

I think it is not all that it seems.

I got the exact same terms but the bonus offered to me is 100% up to $700. Might have a go at this although I've a horrible feeling that it will end up being a sticky.

when i was dealing with them, it was required to do the wagering to release the bonus, then you have to wager the bonus through one time, the wins (and original wagers therefrom) being given back in cash funds, the losses of course just being that. imagine the bonus chips being valueless, but wins generated from them are paid in cash. you must put all the bonus chips into play to get them out of your account. it's not a sticky. but my wisdom is from last fall so it could well be different, but everything else looks about the same so i'd wager this is still how the bonus money works too.
