Exclamation WARNING! USING DEBIT CARDS

I recently discovered a problem when using a Visa debit/check card.

The problem occurs when a charge was unauthorized by you and you wish to dispute it.

If you fund a webwallet by using your debit card you are going to have a hard time gettting the money back. The bank will probably consider that you authorized the webwallet to charge your card, even though one of the charges the submit was not authorized according to you, you will be required to deal directly with the wallet or the merchant they processed the charge for. Disputed debit card charges are basically covered only if the debit card is stolen or used by an authorized person, not yourself.

Credit card disputes are different you are only liable for the first 50.00 of unauthorized charges after reporting them.

If a web wallet wanted to they can clean out your bank account and you basically have to deal with them to get your money back if you authorized them to use your debit card, IE click2pay or any webwallet allowing you to funds via your debit card.

The protection laws basically cover charge cards not debit cards.

Yeah, it is a little scary, giving the CVV code on the back of the card is like a signature that can be used again and again. The good news is that if you know who the processor is, you can block them from making any further withdrawals. Or I can at my bank anyway. As well, you can sign an affidavit stating that you did not authorize a particular 'purchase' and eventually get the money back. Again, at least at my bank.

DEBIT CARDS G Robert Willams

I have used debit cards for 2 years and have disputed 6 times.Every time I was given my money that day.The bank did ask if I contacted them.On 4 of them the number h been disconnected, the other two said I did owe but I explained to bank what happened and back credited me.I use BANK OF AMERICA P.S.On 3 occasions it made me have NSF on my account.Bank gave those back also.I'm not that good of account but Bank of America backed me.G Robert Willim(USA)

I have little money in that account

The thing I do is have very little money in that account I use for gambling. If someone wanted to wipe me out, they would be very disappointed!
