    Maestro Debit Card

Not sure if this is in the right section or not. But I received a Maestro Debit Card today (X-Change), for use on Cirrus or Maestro ATM's. The card was sent by Fortune Lounge. This is the group we had problems with earlier in the year not paying and locking accounts. Well it was Fortune Affiliates so I'm assuming they are the same group. Minds getting old.

Anyhow I dont remember applying for this card, they just sent it to me. Anyone else get one of these and should I activate it? I have epass and I believe this group accepts epass. I'm guessing this is just something the group is doing to help ease deposits and withdrawals. I havent checked their site yet, my first instinct was to come here and do a search, but didnt really find anything.

P.S. If this is wrong forum, Mods please move to correct forum. Thanks.

Honestly, I wish that ALL casinos would get themselves set up with this type of withdrawal function. Think how easy it would be. Withdraw from the casino and hopefully have your cash in your hand within 24-48 hours. I have read elsewhere of people receiving a similar card, also from Fortune Lounge...so I am thinking that maybe they are just sending them out to all their players (or maybe just their US players)? It would be great if someone had some more info on this. I don't play at Fortune Lounge myself, but it would be nice if more Micros jumped on board.

I think it's a terrific idea...the Neteller card was excellent and the new one on it's way out in June sounds even better. One good/bad thing about Maestro, depending on how you look at it, is that you are very limited to using it online and I can't think of one casino I play that accepts it, which means I found that once cash was on the card, I could access it as cash and in shops but not to gamble with. Very handy for managing your gambling budget!

However you could clearly end up with loads of cards if every casino did this. I'd like to see a "central card" which all casinos could pay out to, although one would guess that this is a loyalty benefit and therefore seen as a competitive advantage, so it's unlikely that would ever happen. But I think it is a good move myself.

Erm not sure if I'm going to make things harder for myself here but I have a Maestro card and between this and Neteller use this for all my casino play (Maestro account was set-up separately from main account specifically for gambling purposes). Not going to name actual casinos in case they shouldn't be accepting it and make depositing/withdrawing more awkward but there are at least 10 I have used my Maestro at during the past month (not sure where you play at Simmo). It used to be a switch but transferred over to Maestro a year or 2 ago.

May well be a glitch with my card so don't take it as gospel.

THAT is a great idea Simmo. You'd think that say Microgaming for instance could set up one account and issue one card that could be used for cashouts at all Micro casinos. You know, a mutual friend of ours was over in the UK this week with Microgaming. I wish this idea had been out there sooner, I would have asked him to bring it up. I'd love to get some feedback on it.

Interesting. I can't use mine at any of the ones I play. But that's a good thing as I have done the same as you - one gambling-only account (visa) and one non-gambling (maestro) so it works that way for me Also handy that MG downloads are so bloody massive I can't be arsed to d/l any and try it

I used to be able to use it with Neteller, but I got the debit card option removed when I went VIP. I get bored easy But now i just buy lots of domain names lol.
