    USE MY BANK

I am considering the payment option of " USE MY BANK ". Does anybody have some feedback as to how reliable this service is as they ask for very sensitive info such as bank account number and password. Also they do not seem to state a daily limit. Cheers

Hi juliack. I have used this many times and never had a problem. It is deposit only though, no withdrawal services. With my bank, there is a $1.50 charge on my bank account for email service.

The casino is credited instantly and my bank account is debited instantly.

Also, I have never been given a limit.

it cacks up when i tried to use it. my bank is cibc and the casino i think was inetbet but that's a random guess. it appears to be a wicked option for depositing, if you like that the money comes out of your chequing account rather than off a credit card. that's all i know on the issue, precious little. i wonder where i can find out more and what the cack-up is that prevents me using it.

I have used this option hundreds of times, I to use CIBC, they send me letters saying my information has been breached and it is a direct violation of the debit card agreement, I have never had any problems though and it seems secure to me, as well I can limit my deposits based on what I want to use in my account.

I use this option a lot - I'm with Bank of Montreal and I usually have no problems. They don't even charge a fee! A couple of times early on I got an error and the money didn't show up in the casino but was taken from the bank, I had to contact UseMyBank's email support and they fixed it fairly promptly. Once it was a long weekend so I was screwed til Tuesday. But I think they've upgraded their server or something because I haven't had any trouble at all lately. This may have changed since I last had to contact them, but their phone support is available on weekends but their technical people are not. So if a transaction goes AWOL you can call and complain about it but you'll still have to wait til the weekend is over before somebody can DO something about it.

There are only two problems with it - first you can't use it to withdraw, so you still need an alternative withdrawal method.

Second, unlike Neteller or Moneybookers, you can't stick your whole gambling budget in it in one chunk and withdraw from THAT to the casinos. UseMyBank goes and gets the money from your account right then and sticks it directly into your casino account, they don't store it. If your bank has a limit to the amount of transactions you can make, be aware of how many you're making. My boyfriend got dinged $50 from Bank of Montreal one month for doing 100 transactions over his limit. Not that he's a high roller, he was only depositing $20 at a time but many MANY transactions. Live and learn....

So if you have a fave casino, you're better off depositing $100 in one chunk rather than $20 five times just to keep your transactions in the limit specified by your bank.

Happygobrokey - the only place I can't use it is at INetBet. No idea what the problem is but think it is a new deposit method with them.

i got that letter too. wondered what the case was, and that makes sense since i was authorizing use of my account. anywho i'm not super-eager to be using this or anything but it may prove useful in a pinch if it does work.

I got the same letter from CIBC as well, needless to say I was a little freaked out. I have never had any problems with Use My Bank, however when I do use it, I always change my banking password immediately.

Just a note to say that the problem I have with UMB at INetBet is with UMB.
The way that INetBet is set up requires registation with UMB. At one time, the 'buyer' didn't have to be registered, now they do.

For some strange reason, my email address doesn't exist when I ask for my password to log on, but when I try to register, it states my email address already exists.

I'm sure this will be sorted.

Also, my bank is Scotiabank and I have never received a breach of security letter from them.
