I have not logged onto bodog in AT LEAST 6 mos, yet I get this email today? What the hell? Don't you think if I had even $1 outstanding they would have emailed, called, sent a message in a bottle, a pigeon, SOMETHING? Anyone else get this crap?
Dear xxxxxxxxxx (Account: xxxxxxx), This email serves as your first email to confirm that your bodog account currently has an outstanding balance in the amount of -$700.00. Your balance will need to be immediately resolved to avoid having your file placed into collections status. The easiest way to resolve this is by logging into your bodog account and making a payment to settle the outstanding balance. https://www.bodog.com/account/app/Login Chose one of the listed payment options below: Online Check Transfer Visa / MasterCard Money Transfer eWalletXpress Click2Pay NUcharge Thank you in advance Christie for your prompt attention to the outstanding balance on your account. Should you require any assistance in resolving your negative balance, you are welcome to contact bodog customer service at 1-888-263-0000, or 1-866-887-8422 to speak directly with a bodog account manager. Sincerely, Sonny Accounts Department Hours: Mon - Fri, 11am - 7:30pm, EST |

Ok...maybe I'm a little slow, but how can you have a negative balance at a casino?

That's really a very good question!
But on bodog is all possible ![]() Now i know, why their random jackpots goes up so fast, because you can't win anything on their slots! i was yesterday so silly and gaved them again a try, because i couldn't believe, that their payout are really so bad, but after playing $ 230 with $ 1 bet and not any win and certainly no bonus round, i can't change my opinion about their, that they're the badest RTG Casino ever with the lowest payout rate (probably only 50%, maybe even lesser!?)! |

I doubt their "collections agency" will be given the time of day in the Alabama court house, and they may even be arrested for attempting to obtain an illegal payment if they are daft enough to come round in person. An American collection agency would not want to get involved unless they were dodgy to start with. This happened to another poster, and they decided in the end to ignore it. It would only be an issue if the OP wanted to continue to play online, as the bad debt would count against them. If this were a phishing attempt, the E-mail would contain a link, and you would be asked to "click here & log on to your BoDog account...etc.." (It would be a fake BoDog site of course, and the click here would not depict the actual URL). This looks different, it has the account number, and a straight forward URL is provided, which is https: (To be on the safe side though, do not use it, go direct from the browser). This may be the tip of the iceberg, and many casinos may find the US recover earlier deposits. If the DoJ can do it, they certainly will, and so will the banks. I believe they already have BoDog in their sights, as it takes sports bets as well as offering a casino.

I got this email once because I had made an e-Check deposit to Bodog on literally the day that their e-check processor (Citadel) decided to withdraw from the US. My email came a month or two after I had made the "deposit" and I ended up using my debit card to settle the debt, but your situation is a bit more mysterious. I would just reply to them (or call them) and ask them how is it that you owe them $700, and can they please provide proof that you do indeed owe them the money. Make sure you have your bank or credit card statements handy in case they are incorrect.
