    Neteller complaint...Dont Bother

    Hi,

After having my winnings stolen along with my deposit from Winner333 Casino(this casino subsequently Rogued!) I started a complaint about them with Neteller as suggested by casinomeister in the vain hope of getting at least my deposit back!

Well i may as well not have bothered as they are not willing to do anything about this fraud. I am 2 months in to my discussion with neteller and all they have done is contact the casino on my behalf to which they reply it is a private matter between me and the casino(who i cannot contact anymore because they took down their site and ran off into the wilderness!)

Neteller are supposed to be a legitimate online banking facility who we are supposed to trust our money with???? I certainly dont anymore! Had i depsoited to this casino via my bank or a credit card then i am 100% sure i would have received my deposit back, i could have charged it back on my credit card!

Neteller have done an internal investigation and their findings were they have done nothing wrong? i never said they had but i would have hoped they would be bothered about a customer of theirs having money stolen from them!

Finally as i said i am unable to contact this casino and they are not contacting me even though neteller have asked them 2 on numerous occasions, neteller state they are no longer servicing them as a merchant but they will not give me the contact details they have (that obviously still work) so i can take this up with the casino again!

Take this as a word of warning with using Neteller, i for one will now be using my credit card for all my future depsoits!!

    Complain

If this is a case of fraud, complain to the FSA, given that you have reached a state of "deadlock" with Neteller. Unlike banks, only the first 1000 Euro are protected under the investor compensation scheme, but this would not apply in this case as Neteller themselves have done nothing wrong.
Depending on the amount of money lost to the fraud (limited to the amount deposited), you could obtain a court warrant requiring Neteller to produce any information they have that could lead to the tracing and possible arrest of the fraudsters.

This arrogant attitude has been the hallmark of Neteller for some while now, and has been felt by their former US customers, and now their Canadian Customers, along with the Turks. The regulation they are under is very light, and is more of a licence to operate.
You are right to believe using a CREDIT card (not debit card), will give you far greater protection, including the ability to issue a chargeback in the case of fraud to recover deposits. Sadly, many credit cards are now treating gambling deposits as cash advances, and these could well place them outside the protection of the consumer credit act.

    Cheers for the response!

I was considering going to the FSA but my deposit was only £60ish, it was more a point of not letting the casino get away with everything why i complained! I thought they would have shown more of an interest thats all! I would of also liked the contact details they have for the casino so i could continue to speak with them but they are not for giving them to me!

I will be using my credit card for sure in the future, you live and learn!!
