lojo is on a distinguished road
Gambler, customer, CM member

Meister words going thru my head (paraphrased)

'You guys deposit at non-accreditated casinos and they thumb their noses at the rogue list'.

'You are a senior member and play at a rogue casino, you expect me to help you?'

'They might not have the same manager but they are in the same office and have the same owners'.

As a gambler, and a customer, and a forum member, I have mixed feelings.

Is my only loyalty to myself? I have played at a non-accredited casino, they did not know me as a member of this forum. Unlike most casinos these days - deposits were easy, withdrawals quick and painless, and customer service top-notch. I am/was on the verge of moving from small deposits to sizable outlay -having tested the waters.

What do I do, keep my mouth shut and play on? Until a couple of months ago I didn't even know there was an advocate for players and never had need of one. If I play, it is totally at my own risk, I won't come whining to the forum about how the neighbor kid stole my marbles just to be told I shouldn't play with a bully, scorpians sting because they do, and leopards can't change their spots.

Is my loyalty to a casino? I can only assume that profits from one casino may fund others within the 'group' that have less than savory management. Can I do that in good conscience? What if it's an experiment to see which management style is most profitable? There are a lot of what if's.

Is my loyalty to the forum where in some small way I might contribute to transparency and fairness in online gambling for others? How do I 'give back' for all the great information and advice on here and Bryan's advocacy for players?

It takes a lot of head scratching and filtering to try to figure out what is really going on in some of the complaint posts... Maybe I shouldn't worry about it - just let time shake things out and wait for the Meister's rulings and base my play on those decisions.

I will say that the more casino rep posts I see, the better I think a discussion is because general populace can be mighty one-sided 'rouncheer sometimes.

Wo is me, wo is me... time to take some time off the game completely.

Hey lojo, I meant to say this earlier but had to get ahold of myself. Lost in delirium. You seem like a beautiful person. And sensitive to others. that is an important aspect and a great character quality, that's what's important. Sometimes we are not sure how others view us, just wanted to let you know that.

dealer wins is on a distinguished roaddealer wins is on a distinguished road
Lojo I would put it like this.

Gamble in a reputable, accredited casino =

deposit - gamble - win/lose - cashout (sometimes) - get paid

Gamble in a rogue casino =

deposit - gamble - win/lose - cashout (sometimes) - gamble - paid/not paid

Say you hit a big jackpot of $5000+, you really dont want that hit to be at a rogue casino trust me mate!!!!

Accredited

Let us not forget that many fine casinos are not in the accredited section because they have not yet been through the process of being personally vetted by Bryan. This does not necessarily mean that they are rogue, as part of this vetting requires them to have a track record in the industry (even though the casino itself is a new launch).
To make matters more confusing, good casinos turn bad, and even bad ones see the light. If a casino is not accredited, but is not in any of the categories of roguishness, then it is a case of doing a little research, and use "gut feeling".
I played at Winward a couple of years ago, and at the time had no problems, even after beating the SUB. It seems to have drifted downhill since, starting with constant unanswered E-mails. Now, having seen what has been said of them recently, I would not be wanting to reinstall the software, even though I now have a PC that could probably cope with it.

For Example...

Grand Prive has been a wonderful find for me personally, yet it is not listed in the accredited section due to a past issue with an underage player. They pay very fast and they call you the day the check is sent (usually within 2-4 days) unlike uh, others! I appreciate that type of treatment for a change.

Grand Prive

I have recently played here too, they are eCogra sealholders, and have taken a more reasonable attitude to us Brits, and then sent me a free chip through the post. So far, I have had no problems, and today they even called me to tell me they had processed my cashout on Friday, and I was able to raise a few points about the $66,000 tournament next month.

Not too sure about Grand Prive's marketing strategy though, seems to be in reverse currently...they originally sent me a few 100% bonuses -when signed up few months ago - I lost all of them & the deposit. Then they sent 50% - still nothing won...all lost .Now it's only 25%'s - not that there's anything wrong with this bonus, but takes a decent bonus or win to grab my attention away from my regular haunts of Chartwell, WW, Crypto & Boss...so think I'll pass. Now maybe if I ever got this free chip mailed that you mention, & a bottle of whisky on the house, to drown my sorrows....
