RE: Banning Canadians Casinos should be carefull

I think alot of casinos are putting the cart before the horse here in thier banning of Canadian players purely based on proxiamaty (sp?) to the states. As a proud canadian I would need a darned good reason to return to a casino that has banned me in the past simply for being next to the USA. Give us some hard evidence that this is neccessary and I may change my mind.

Did I miss something? Where did you get that idea? I dont think a Casino would risk shutting itself down with the additional lost revenue for that reason . Something, eminating from Canada's government, is causing this reaction. I havent heard anything about Mexico being banned!

Can you please provide me with the proof that the Canadian government is making moves to bad online gambling? I live here and keep pretty up to date on that sort of thing and I haven't heard our government mention a thing.

It may not be the government, per se, but pressures on financial institutions to stop servicing Canada leaving you in the same sorry state as the US.

Remember, it is not illegal for me to gamble online, nor to deposit or withdraw. But it is very difficult and potentially risky to my money. I hope the same doesn't occur for you.

I bank and do gambling transactions via a few different banking institutions, including credit cards, so far no one has said a thing about it.

The Canadian government doesn't have to do anything. The US government will not let Canadian banks trade in US dollars if they allow gambling funds to go through their banks.

The only banks that don't care about that are very small local banks. Most banks need to trade in US dollars.

This is how come the pressure is felt world wide.
